I was strolling through Best Buy today and low and behold, SimCity Societies was there in all its preorder glory.

Has anybody preordered the game, yet?

No, I haven't preordered it. I never actually preorder games, except earlier this year when I got Armed Assault from an online shop. And that was only because the release was being handled by different companies, so it was all a bit patchy.

You appear to be missing an option on that poll.

“The American city should be a collection of communities where every member has a right to belong. It should be a place where every man feels safe on his streets and in the house of his friends. It should be a place where each individual's dignity and self-respect is strengthened by the respect and affection of his neighbors. It should be a place where each of us can find the satisfaction and warmth which comes from being a member of the community of man. This is what man sought at the dawn of civilization. It is what we seek today.”

I am really trying to figure out if this one will be better than Sim City 4 or not. Will it have as much transit or will it be all about putting the right building in the right place? I like the idea of the freedom to place anything anywhere but does this come at the expense of other features?

Shouldn't there be an option that says just "No, will not preorder". I can't say if I'm going to buy it or not yet.

It's really for people that are already plan on buying it, not the anti-SCS crowd.  I know there's a number of people like myself who will probably never buy it, but if I added that option, it just adds to the negativity.  I hope you all understand.

    No option for :

    No, and I never will

    That's my vote

Well, all I can say is, if EA sell enough of this game to satisfy curiosity, they'll have made their $€£, and they won't care about what fans of proper/real Sim City think, will they?

So, if you want to make this game a success, buy it. You'll just be destroying the chance of a real SIm City sequel in the future 15.gif

All in all, I'll end up buying the game. Cities Unlimited might seem to be the better of the two currently, but I'm in desperate need for a new city building game, perfect or in-perfect.

Yes I have but I do not have any simcitygame so I do not have to worry about what was and what is not lol. 9.gif It is a good thing I preorder before I got here and read all the downside about the game.

Why is there no option to never buy it?

I like sc4 mainly for for the traffic situation simulating and for the other simulation bits, not for fantasy land, hence scs looks the biggest pile of rubbish to me I've even seen from a sim city game.

Because the question wasn't "Will you buy it or not?", that question inevitably fills up a thread with people constantly repeating the same tired old stuff you just posted.

I will buy it eventually, but not the pre-order.  To be honest, I never buy pre-orders though.  I'll buy SCS when I am sure my current computer will handle it, or after I upgrade.

Give me a break I'm just explaining why I'll never buy and never pre order it ( wich imo is the same anyhow ).

You've asked for it by adding no fourth option, or writing  ''scs buyers only''' in the thread name or original post.

There is nothing in the first post about anti scs people to get out, I know there is later on ( I just found out 2 misn ago), but on polls I don't read the thread usually just the first post.

I'm just saying, I'm not used to these forums, obviously it's less orginized as I'm used to from other forums ( no posting rules in first post or thread name).

I'm sorry for posting what I've posted before, but I'm not happy with the way this poll looks, I'm not used to reading to post 8 or 9 to see what the intentions/rules are before I can vote, If i see something wrong with a poll, I express my personal opinion by posting a reply and explain it.

Why would there need to be rules posted at the beginning of each thread? In presenting the options, aren't the rules essentially given to you?

This is an informal poll in a gaming site - not a sanction vote at the United Nations.

To inform, how should I know these types of responces I give arn't welcome, I'm not very active here usually, I have no idea people mean about the game, I just saw a poll, entered it, and was confused due to not finding my awnser, and expressed my opinion to the question.

Whats up with all the drama queens on this board?(living...etc) Good grief. People always making mountains out of mole hills.

The only rules that apply here are common sense and the ability for reading comprehension. Should there really be anything else to reiterate those?

This board is filled with whiny thoughtless unconstructed "I hate SCS wah,wah,wah....and this is why I think it is stupid" rhetoric. Can there be ONE thread were you can get away from it? I think this was part of the poll thought process as well as wanting to know who actually may be interested in preordering. We already know who won't be. Most have already stated this millions of times.

I agree with Ginger, most likely will never use it, I'm saving my hard drive space for Cities Unlimited.

But hey, everyone has their own views and those that do buy it hopefully they enjoy it...........

If I do get it, ill get it at Walmart. 3.gif I hate Walmart even more than I hate the fact that EA is a greedy corporate beast... But I can't help it. Well, if I'm buying the game, I might as well kill two birds with one stone.

Forgot the "No, and never will buy" option. I'm waiting for Cities Unlimited. Monte Cristo at least has experience.

Ugh... 46.gif must I go through this again?

This is a poll for people who plan on buying the game, not for those who already have made their decision to boycott this game or simply not buy it.  If you've already decided not  to purchase SCS, don't vote here, don't post here, and don't whine about how SCS has ruined gaming, caused global warming, and made our kids obese... especially in this thread.  I created the poll for SCS fans... is THAT too much to ask?

Jeez... there's enough anti-SCS talk here... I thought maybe the fans of the game need a place to congregate. 47.gif

Sorry if I come off as rude, but I had to do it.

The saddest thing about people buying for curiosity is that they don't seem to realise that EA don't care WHY you buy SCS ... they only want your money, so they can claim this disgrace as a success, and justify slapping all true SC fans in the face.

And everyone who buys it helps them, and hurts us.

Sorry if that's hard to take, but it's what will happen if we don't stand up to this outrage.

I'm tired of people tiptoeing around this forum because the developers of SCS are here ...

they're destroying our game .... and making a fortune doing so .... so i wish them failure.
