Probably. Certainly seems more promising than Simcity Societies.

Believe in only what you can prove.

From what little I've seen of CU and what I have seen of SCS... CU>>>>>>>>>>>>SCS.

Have you guys seen that movie they made for SCS on the front page? The producer looks like a creep. The look on her face looks evil, like she's challenging us to tell her that her game is crap!

Actually she was rather dull in her presentation of the game rather than creepy, like there was no effort to actually promote the good qualities of the game and thus made the whole thing boring. *yawn courthouse tycoons bla bla bla*

But I guess the dissapointment factor would overshadowed by the anticipation of CU. Hopefully I can see some screenshots of gameplay soon 9.gif

Me thinks that I may just have to give CU a shot.. it looks way cooler than the SC spinoff

(Yes, I still outright refuse to include SCS as a part of the series.. I still await for SC5...)

The screenshots are awesome - compare to that God-awful initial screenshot of SC:S... I was blown away by the globe map chooser - especially with Australia positioned so prominently! (Da Silva: You guys are awesome!!!) And from Da Silva's comments, it sounds much more intriguingly familiar than SC:S ever did. I am almost sold on this game, I just need a demo to tip me over the edge into 'I'll pay ANYTHING for this game!!!' (For comparative purposes, please see my comment on the 'Will you buy it? SC:S version')

I'm going to wait on this decision until i see more about the game.

but probably ill buy it mainly because i hate EA.

(They ruined BF2, SC4[kinda] and Westwood Studios)

I don't know, it looks like it will be great so far but I'll have to see what SimCity 5 will be like first.

my answer to the question: MOST DEFINATLY

little info to Mr.YGuy; -there is no SC5, it is SC:S and it is nothing like a sequel to SC4... it is a totally new (blindway) addition to SC family. 15.gif

(If you don't believe me go check out what the developer say about SC:S, they said that SC:S will not be a SC5 but a totally new aproach).

take care,

I may buy it. So far, i think the screenshots look nice, i've loved the blog of the website dedicated to this game, especially the videos but ... unlike sim city societes (SCS) i still don't know much about the contents of the game. I think it's understandable since they plan to release it early 2008, at least three months after SCS. Since previously said on this topic, they're earlier in development than SCS, which i'm almost sure it's completed, or close to be.

For now, i of course keep interest in this game, and await to know more before deciding clearly if i will buy it or not.

I think this question of would you buy it is ridiculous right now. There's not even a game yet. Not even Alpha. MC are asking us for our suggestions to help in the development of CU so  right now is an opportunity to get involved in the game's development by sharing ideas. But I will admit.....I hope I will.

Yes to CU

No to anything owned by EA. SimCash-in just doesn't sound good.

The one problem here, is yes CU sounds very good, however, City Life and Cities Unlimited is not the same, just both are made by M.C. In 2008, is the return of the City Life series. This should be the determining factor, at least for me. The old saying goes, "this computer isn't big enough for the both of us."

Conditional Yes

The condition being that it obviously has to play as good as it looks 2.gif

That info will take a while to come out though once the development cycle is further along.

I think I will probably buy it as long as it turns out as well as it looks like it will.

I think its very encouraging that the developers are asking our opinions at this early stage of development.
