5th  Welcome to Candyland! Prepare youself. This CJ is high in saccharin and aspartame (better use Splenda next time) If you get a sugar rush, this just may be the CJ for you. I'll begin by saying that I don't want a long introduction but this journal is similar to many others in many ways. I hope this one succeeds more than my others. Just remember, if you have diabetes, you might want to stand back.

This journal is mainly mosaics but includes a few normal sized nature shots and as of July 2008 it includes panoramas too! All kinds of stuff here.

Quintessa: Finished! A region with California-like terrain that I threw together in somewhat of a hurry. Not as good as Calioshire or Greenstone, but still another beautiful region. Current status: Complete, 3 million.

Greenstone: Finished! A beautiful mountainous region that is sparsely populated except for a few pockets in the south and west. Current status: Complete, 600,000.

Redcliff: A region based on Las Vegas and its suburbs. Current status: DELETED!!!

Bluemount: A region based off the Pacific Northwest. (Yes, me too.) Current status: Full force! (800,000)

Very nice, love the green border around the mosaic! Just one suggestion, either go with maxis trees or other trees from the STEX. It looks kind of strange with both. Other than that great start I'm really looking forward to more!!

Penguin (Will): Thank you very much! I agree, there are a lot right now. They're fun to make!

Granto: Yeah, finally lol! Plenty of development already actually, as you'll see in the next mosaic. Glad you got some sugar-high. 3.gif

Manman99: They sure are! That's a fun game as well. Thanks, glad you enjoy.

jrhnemo: Thank you! Good suggestion, I'll look into a good tree controller. Thanks again!

jacky: Thank you! I'm glad you like the banner/ I was hoping you'd like the trees. 3.gif Thanks again for coming!

Thanks everyone for your comments! Once a little more interest is set in I'll post the second mosaic.

Yay, more eye candy.  I like the RCT3 pic haha!  Creative idea.  I thought those things looked familiar...

Anyway, good start! I like the regions, the Chengdu one is my favorite.  And I love the forest!  But may I suggest something, not to suppress your style or anything lol, I like to add a few rocks, logs, cow pats (haha 9.gif) and other random stuff when I do forests, just to make it interesting.  But hey, thats my opinion 3.gifOtherwise, it looks good.  Hope to see more from you soon!

Nice start, the mosaic is very good, but there is not much variation. Have you tried Jeronij's treesm they are awsome.

BlondeTwiggy: Thank you! I like it too, I was thinking, I need a picture of candy...and then I thought of those statues! I'm glad you like Chengdu, I think I'll build that one next. And thank you for the advice on the forests, they do look a bit sparse without logs and rocks, thanks for the input. By the way i was thinking about putting that Chengdu map onn the STEX (I made it myself)

GreekMan: hehe thanks! Oh you hate candy, eh? We'll see about that! *dumps jolly ranchers down throat* I notice you started a new cj too! very nice. Thanks again for commenting!

SimRabbit: Thanks! Glad you like the mosaic. You're right, I should add more variation. I'll look for jeronij's trees. Thanks again!

Time for another update! To keep everyone satisfied. 3.gif

    Waterfront Development

This mosaic was taken in Leavenworth City, the capital and largest city (big surprise there) of Leavenworth. With a population of 33,616, this semi-rural city is a trading center for the region.

    top-8.jpg

    middle1-5.jpg

    middle2-4.jpg

    middle3-3.jpg

    bottom-7.jpg

I hope you enjoy! The region is slowly growing...not as fast as Khantayka but it's rural...so it's best served small. Really quite the place to make yourself at home. In recent years, hydroponic farming has moved in and has grown into a large part of the economy. The next few updates will be in Leavenworth as well. Then we're off to Khantayka!

Great update, Im glad to see it got more exciting than trees because when you start to get comments like "Very nice, love the green border around the mosaic!" you know you need to start posting more than trees

    3.gif

J/k of course, great work and brilliant regions

It's a nice start, you have some real nice regions and you have made some cool graphics. However I'm sorry but I really don't like you're forest mosaic, it's just heaps of those ugly Maxis trees and that green border doesn't help either. The second one's a little better but I think you need some work on that waterfront, I'd scrap the bright coloured border thing. Also it looks a little bumpy, maybe you could smooth you're terrain next time.

    Hope to see more updates.

Granto: Thanks! I like it too, but you're right about the coastline, needs  a seawall.

BlondeTwiggy: Thanks! I just have to find the file for it and hopefully I can upload it. Glad you like the cranes, thanks again!

patriots: You're right about that. me being forgetful 3.gif Thanks for visiting!

GingerBlokey: Thanks! That's what I was thinking, looking back now that wasn't one of my better mosaics. But hopefully they'll improve (and I have to find a tree controller!)

C0ckatoo: Wow thanks! You are absolutely right about the first mosaic, I should modify it quite a bit. Like I said once I find a tree controller hopefully it won't happen again. From now on I'll dim the border too. And the bumpiness I can fix rather easily. Thanks again!

seahawk: Yes it is indeed! I should use seawalls more often you're right, thanks again!

Zelgadis: You betcha! I'll need lots of room to spread out. Thanks again!

scififan: Thank you! plenty more where that came from! 9.gif

    Time for another update!

    Cable Stays

There's no better time to be crossing this bridge from Leavenworth city to Baycross directly across the river than on a cool, windy day in early spring, as in this picture. I'm sorry about the Maxis trees again, they are really starting to get annoying. There's only a couple more mosaics with them though, so please bear with me. As always, please feel free to comment and tell me how I can improve these!
