That bridge fits well with that water mod and terrain mod. Nice! Btw: Isn't that a peg water mod?

Amerikaner: Wow thanks! I'm glad you like it so much. The water mod is PEG's Brigantine. Thanks again!

jacky: Thank you! lad you like the bridge, and I'll have more trees. 9.gif

jrhnemo: It does! A little trick of mine. I built it on a diagonal strait of water, then rotated the camera to the right to make it look diagonal. Try it!

BlondeTwiggy: Thanks! I should dress up the shoreline a bit, it's too bare. I have to remember to do that from now on.

penguin: Gee thanks! I think the second one has to be my favorite of them too (but what cam I say, I made it lol) Thanks!

AceofSpades: Thank you! Glad you like it.

Schulmanator: Hehe! Thanks! No saccharin? Glad you enjoy it.

gshmails: Thank you! I'll put in more nature ones too.

SimRabbit: Thanks, I try to do that not oinly because my sims are cranky about commutes but because it looks nice.

C0ckatoo: Good! I'm glad you like it better. And I'll keep the border tone down, too...lol.

scififan: I have to agree! That water mod is PEG's, it's Brigantine. Thanks! Say, I seem to remember you used to have some really cool BATs on simcity.com. Did you? Whoever made them, I use them a lot.

    Today's update...

    Megaspan

These two bridges connect Leavenworth City to Baycross by car and train. This is vital in order to get the crops to market on time, as there are no ferries in the region. These two bridges are close in proximity to the bridge of the Cablestays mosaic, only going east instead of south. Please ignore the little blip on the bridge near the bottom of the picture. This is another one that I forgot to forest, but oh well, still nice bridges.

Sorry for being a day late! Been gone...RLS may kick in soon. But here is the next update.

    First off...

    Replyintrobanner1.jpg

bat: Thanks a bunch! I'm glad you like it.

BlondeTwiggy: Yeah, I must remember. Thanks, glad you like.

penguin: Thanks! here it is anyway...

    Schulmanator: Thanks!

Amerikaner: Thanks! Hehe, don't worry, we're nearly done with Leavenworth part 1. i have a ton of city pics. Plus some more rural.

    Mountain Grade

Another mosaic, yes, with Maxis trees. 15.gif But I really liked the effect of the slope, so I took a shot at it. I hope you all enjoy! 9.gif

Nice mosaic. I would have thought in Candyland they would not use trains-- they would use Chutes 'n Ladders!!!

jacky: Aah! I didn't see that. Thanks 9.gif I'll fix it soon.

granto: lol, thanks, very bumpy indeed...and steep 3.gif

Schulmanator: Hahaha! I knew it was only a matter of time before you'd say that. *let's see...move 4 spaces...oops, looks like I dropped the dishes! Down the chute I go!*

BlondeTwiggy: Fun but sometimes tricky! I actually made this slope to fit the picture, not the picture to the slope (if that makes any sense) They're not so bad, but the darker ones are better.

    OK, here's the next mosaic.

    Small Town Life

This town isn't so small anymore, as you can see by the several midrise weeds. However, it still relies on farming, and lies directly across from Leavenworth City. By the way, tomorrow I'll introduce you all to Khantayka! By the way sorry for the bright banner, it looked different in the program and I can't change it now. 34.gif

Good mosaics. 4.gif I never thought the golden gate and that other truss bridge would look so good together. 4.gif

As for your latest update, what are those two little sci-fi-ish commercial buildings? They're interesting...

You finally got this CJ up an running. Congrats, IDS2!

As for the update, I enjoyed it very much. Small towns also have a lot of good sides. . . and the blue border is just fine, IMO.

    I'm taking down notes now.

Sorry for the day's delay! It was supposed to be shown yesterday. oh well, better late than never...

    Replyintrobanner1.jpg

topcliff: Thanks, then I guess I read your mind, eh? 3.gif I can't seem to control that thing...no matter how I bulldoze...it's a weed. 3.gif At least it looks nice.

    GreekMan: thanks!

penguin: What kind of candy: 3.gif Thanks for coming lol. I'm glad that it's just that good! Thanks again

zelgadis: Thanks! you know, I didn't either as I was mainly building them for capacity, but I thought they looked good. 4.gif Those buildings, ah! Good thing I remember. They're called Tyler Towers, if you mean those 2 midrise green-and-indogo ones, and they're on simcity.com. They can be found here.

Deever: Thank you! I like small towns too. I just have to practice a bit more. 4.gif Lol, notes, thank you, actually a few future mosaics were inspired by the Miami Tint!

    Time for the update!

Now, I must warn you: this is an extremely long osaic (6000+ pixels i believe) and is comprised of 11 images. I advise giving your computer 1 minute or more to load it all. It's the longest mosaic in my history 9.gif It shouldn't take long though because it's a .bmp. Anyway, welcome to Khantayka...

    Through the Districts

Taken in the massive industrial giant of Portofina, this mosaic shows everything from ports to downtowns to rail stations to suburbs to nuclear reactors to...well, you get the idea. It's a cornucopia of candy. The city is heavily influenced by European architecture. So, take a look, and enjoy!

Wow, really, really detailed and quite purtyful. That ferry dock is amazing!

I'm getting a few alignment problems though, the first pic in all of the mosaics appears centered but then the rest are to the left; then again, I do have an excessively large resolution IMO (1600x1200).

    Emergency replies:

cleaner: That's the AMP tower, I found it SCC, now Simphoni, go to downloads and it should be there 4.gif Thanks!

1dera: Thank you. I like the dock too. Actually it's my fault, because the titles are centered. but I tried it on IE and FF and it aligns on FF. IE might jiggle it so I'll go through them and fix it.

    Sorry, technical issues 9.gif.

Imperfections eh? I have a lot of that in my CJ too. It's nice to know you got some inspiration. I got some inspiration here too.

The last mosaic is quite long. Very nice. The city depicted in it ain't that bad either. Awesome candy.

And to save IDS2 some time, penguin007:

You can find the hotel here, and the cruise ship port (the "ferry terminal") here.

1dera3: it's OK, actually I just did that this morning. Thanks!

penguin: Thanks! I believe Deever already answered those links, thanks Deever. 2.gif

Schulmanator: Spiff says thank you and heads off to McZargalds to devour more eyecandy!

jacky: Yep, I hope they will lol, thanks so much.

Deever: Yeah, sometimes I forget a seawall or a plaza...and so is life. Nice to hear everyone does that every once in a while9.gif. Thanks for getting those links by the way! 9.gif Saves me lots of time.

    Across the Bay

As we continue exploring Portofina we see how much mroe there really is to the city. Not much more to say...towards the middle you see headquarters park where lots of companies have set up offices alongside large hotels and conference centers.

Awesome commercial areas! I love how you blend the commercial areas full of huge buildings to quite suburbs and industry to downtown. Great job IDS2!
