bbfan02: Thanks, glad you liked the port shots! 4.gif

Amerikaner: Hey Luke!  That's alright, we all get sidetracked once in a while, in fact I forget about some excellent CJs around ST sometimes too.  Lately I've been making it a point not to do that, lol.  Thanks for the comment!

suplado!: Thank you, the only bad things about the mosaic are those black lines between the different pieces of it.  My next mosaic looks a lot better I think, I spent much more time on it!

DragonAnime: Thanks, DA!  I thought it would be pretty cool to have an update that focused on the undeveloped areas around my region.  I've seen people do things similar to this with roads before, and I've taken a bit of inspiration from them.  Nice to see that Weller Pass is reminding you guys about road trips!  Thanks for the comment. 10.gif

ilikehotdogsalot: Hey!  Yup I have had this CJ since June, lately I've been updating quite a bit thanks to the freedom of Christmas vacation, lol. 9.gif  My editing is nothing compared to yours, the only thing I do is enhance the colors a bit, sharpen up the picture and add the border around most of the shots.  Thanks for visiting!

    SC4Fanatic: Thank you, come again!

zelgadis: I never really thought of that, but now that you mention it, it does remind me of the artificial islands in Japan!  Most of my industrial districts that are located in a medium- large city, like this one, aren't too dirty.  But cities that are comprised of only industrial are extremely dirty!  I might show one of those cities sometime in the future.  Thank you for the comment! foru

Wow, nice dirty industry area! I really like the effect of the darkness to all of the pictures. It really helps the theme out for this update. Great seaport and sea walls.

Looks like a busy place that makes lots of simoleons for Auburn Valley. Bring on downtown!

You did a really good job on the port, The rail mod looks good along with the unique industrial buildings.  Looking forward to more.

I agree that you've given a lot of attention to industrial areas... probably it's the opposite for me as I prefer working on road networks, downtowns, and suburban development. But your industrial areas and ports are fantastic.

    Godzillaman:

Good question!  I would say about 50-60% probably.

Mike the Mayor: Thank you, I tried to make them look really good!

bbfan02: Thanks, I'm glad you noticed those effects!  Someday I will make a large port town, and it will be much, much bigger than Remington Bay's port! 2.gif

suplado!: Thanks, I tried to have as many different buildings as possible.

Schulmanator: It sure does!  Auburn Valley just keep bringing in the cash. 9.gif

edmonton_stinks: The high-tech buildings actually blended in quite well with the rest of the industry.  Well, there's just about no pollution.  Auburn Valley's climate and location don't hold pollution well, and companies make it a point to be cleaner (despite all of that smoke). 3.gif

crazyyaya: Yeah, I am fond of that rail texture also, through I can't remember what it is!  Thanks for commenting.

penguin007: Thanks Will, I'm glad you liked it.

jacqulina: Thank you Jacky for your great comment.  Happy New Year's to you, too.

dfnva: Generally, I work more with other areas (commercial downtowns, residential suburbs) because they seem to be a lot harder for me to get what building I want (the same thing or nothing at all grows all the time).  Industrial areas are less of a hassle to work with.  Thank you for the comment! 4.gif

Remington Bay doesn't really have a sole downtown area.  Practically the whole city is made up of tall skyscrapers and plazas.  However, it was originally built to serve as a suburb for neighboring metropolis Auburn Bay.  Instead, it grew into what it is today: just another typical large metro city in the region of Auburn Valley.

We will start at the developments that lie closest to the Auburn Bay city limits.  The area has seen some large new office towers built in recent years.  Here is a good example.

    rbdm1bwr0.jpg

The Kobe Wing Stadium houses the Remington Bay Sharks soccer team.

    remingtonbayfeb81111199kb0.jpg

Several large skyscrapers are located nearby the stadium.  Most of these buildings pictured were built around the same time.

    remingtonbayapr81121199hs8.jpg

Many buildings in Remington Bay are inspired by the architecture of Hong Kong.  The thin residential towers are a good example.  And it looks like theres some traffic problems too!

Lastly, an overview shot of the two newest additions to Remington Bay (located to the right), along with a couple of buildings under construction.

Hey, Kyle!  Sorry I haven't commented in a while.  I am ashamed lol.  I liked the industry at the top of the page and the crispness of the pictures.  Very nice photo editing!  Remington Bay and skyscrapers are  beautiful/colorful as always, I liked that orange-ish building in the 3rd pic.  Good work ! 1.gif

Well, I can see that it's not all dirty industry. 4.gif I like the dirty stuff, but I hate the pollution, so I use the clean air radical ordinance. 4.gif Besides, pollution is illegal in my city. Ha! 9.gif

I would like to know what the big black building is in the second to last pic of the current update. Looks interesting! 4.gif

Lol! Fed Up cargo ships! Just like my shirt.

The RBP update was, as usual, a kick-butt update. Crispy pictures, buildings that complement each other, freight containers, and all that.

Now Remington Bay is a different story but the same happy ending. Great BATs and the traffic makes the city realistic. The way the pics were edited is also cool and crisp.

Whoa, that's highrisey! The whole thing looks like a gigantic downtown. It's like Manhattan!...on a bit of a smaller scale.

crazyyaya: Thanks, I'm glad you liked it!  I think I'll continue to use the effects on the pics. 9.gif

BlondeTwiggy: It's quite alright, I remember I used to do the same thing with your CJ early last year!  Recently I have been trying out this new style for my pictures; I think it has turned out quite well.  Yeah, the Nitron Center (NDEX) is a cool tower.  Thank you for commenting, Twiggy!

Schulmanator: Thanks, Bruce.  Actually I prefer the other one, lol!  But both are really cool, don't get be wrong!

zelgadis: What a coincidence!!!  I use it too!!! 3.gif  The black building is the Sung Hung Kai Center by bixel.  I expect to see it in Carpathia next update!  J/K. 2.gif

Deever: Good eye, my friend.  I'm glad you could drop by again, your replies are always pretty interesting to read.  Nice choice of words. 4.gif

    connorc24: Thank you, come again!

SpecialEddie: I see that your preferences haven't changed since your last visit.  I ought to create an industry-only CJ, just for you. 3.gif

edmonton_stinks: 'Highrisey,' that's a new one!  You are correct.  Auburn Bay is four times as big as RB, though, so I wouldn't say it's like NY just yet! 2.gif

jacqulina: Thanks Jacky, I'm glad you liked the update!

bbfan02: Thanks for commenting, the soccer stadium is one of my favorite structures in RB.

Hester: Thanks, I'm glad you liked them!  More is coming soon.

Mike the Mayor: Thank you, great to see you noticed all of those aspects.

suplado!: Thanks for the great comment, I think you'll like the next one!

No update from me today (it's almost midnight where I live) but tomorrow (well, today) I plan to update.  If I don't get to it tomorrow, then expect it on Monday.

Thanks for the ongoing support everyone!
