Great pictures! Although, in the closeup of the rest area sign, the road lines don't have the same length. Why?

Haljackey, Thanks. I didn't plan on the highway being so bumpy even though it is next to a lake. But where I am from, all roads are bumpy except the Interstate; especially in western Wisconsin near the Mississippi River. In the future (and I will post more pictures later on), I try to make sure the highway is a little smoother.

Philadelphia: The RHW file has to be in your NAM Folder. Having it in plugins may be your problem. You can also but a few ZZZs before the filename so it loads after the NAM. Hope this helps you out!

Creative!

In answer to the questions from the train station, it is NOT accessable from the RHW network just like all other lots are not accessable to it.

Heres two more images from a newer city of mine.

you need to demolish three tiles of RHW, and draw One Way Road in their place. With the latest RHW, it should connect.

*BUMP!

Well, I think its about time that we had this thread updated.  It has hid for a while, but while doing a search, I mistakenly found this thread.  I was thinking of creating a thread for this, but because there is already an existing thread, I decided to post here. Its time to put some life back in this thread! 4.gif

Don't worry, I didn't preform CPR on this thread just to for no reason. As you can see, I have a lot to show since the last time I posted here!

My images are compressed, not resized.  Click on the images to view them in FULL RESOLUTION!

Beachhead RHW network.  I was doing some experiments combining it with a one-way road.  There are some weird results in the median eh?

dogma555: Excellent use of the RHW in a urban environment.  Its cool to see how you set up the express sections from local traffic.  That interchange looks fantastic as well.

-If you converted your street connections to the RHW to one way roads, it would beef up capacity for your ramps.  As well, it would look more realistic because the one way would meet the RHW at a 45 degree angle, instead of 90 degrees for streets.

masochist: I like it! Thats an excellent beach mod, would you care to let me know where you found that? (Don't rush LOL!)

-However, on the right side of the image, I can see that you used a road to connect the two directions of the RHW together. If you used a street instead, the textures will line up properly. There is a street texture made for this type of connection, but not for the road (yet).

haljackey, thanks! although i just realized one of the roads in the city pic is heading in the wrong direction, il have to fix that.. also, just how many RHWs can be placed next to one another? i imagine it might get a little tricky to arrange and i might end up merging them for the intersections but we'll see.. ive only completed about a third of my cities area so ill post pics once i develop my new areas.

edit: ohh okay i see it now.. the southbound traffic that is a street? yeah good look, i dont know why i made that part a street, or why there is for some reason traffic coming in the other direction lol

Best,

warrior: Simple answer: No. I wish it was possible though, that would be awesome! Eh?

For different cities I use different textures. The first image is more North American, so I used the new default texture. The second is more Euro-styled, so I used the Euro texture.

In fact, for some older cities, the original texture actually looks much better than the new ones, so I take out the plugins whenever I play those.

EDIT: For instance:
