Welcome to the IPON!

Nice newspaper and I like the new conference centre. By the way, where did you get that? 4.gif

Chinese approach seems to be interesting. What does the US say about it? As an IPON member Khaled should earn more international respect...

I am sure the Second IPON Summit will be great!

Good ol' Liberty Islands! Someday, I'll repost my old CJ.

Alright so I've been thinking about it, and as a beginning Arabic student a much closer way to transliterate Khaledia would be to type .7aleejaa into http://www4.ncsu.edu/~yahussai/A_E/

it would roughly correspond to khaa-leh-jah, its just very very wrong to have each letter separate as you and others have in your signatures. Arabic only exists as a script in cursive.

An update on Khaled City's road network

And an overview of the city

    kch10.jpg

This shows the route of the new ring road.

The city has been expanding the most to the west, mainly because of its good transport links to the CBD with highways going to the city centre but its hoped the ing road might balance out development with a transport artery around the city.

    bixel:Thanks for the comment!

sEAhAwk fAn121:Thanks for the comment, glad you liked the paper as I hope to do more in future3.gif

suplado!:Thanks, I've been experimenting with new layouts thanks to NAM, cant wait for the new RHW too 2.gif

Giligone:thanks, and hope to see you at the conference centre 2.gif

panthersimcity4:Thanks, yes Riyadh was a big inspiration for Khaled City, interesting city 3.gif

    2nerdy4u:Thanks!

bokrif: Thanks, the conference centre is a shanghai building which I found on the STEX, Chinese batswork surprisingly well 3.gif the situation with China could prove to be interesting, Khaled traditionally is a big ally of the Western powers but now it can use China to its advantage as an alternative, if US doesn't like it too bad maybe less oil for them 2.gif

    cleaner475:Thanks!

    Shanna:Thanks for the comment 9.gif

    JFman00:thanks for the help 2.gif

The Big Z:Thanks, it should be complete now thanks to lax labour regulations!

    penguin007:Thanks!

nazaguy:Thanks, I agree,  but on the other hand the emirate can't go too far with suspicious deal;s unless it wants to look like an international pariah!

crazyarchitect:Thanks, and I'm sure the Emir is pleased to see another supporter of his China policy 2.gif

Thats some really excellent work Frogface. Khaled City is really becoming a tangle of expressways. I hope they will be enough to tackle the demands of drivers. Looking forward to more on this as construction continues.

Another excellent update in this Journel FF. Its very interesting to see these cities expand rather than be already built.

Love your cj, esp. your Khaled City. Hey, i got an idea for you. how about building a botanical gardens near the conference center for the upcoming IPON summit? it will help all of the visitors and VIPs feeling calm and relax after they took a stroll in the botanical gardens. after all, most cities have botanical gardens or huge parks, right?
