Hi, this is my latest region, I wanted a change so I decided to try make a Middle East themed region based as a fictional Gulf state. Hope you enjoy

Brief history of the country

The location of Khaled, it borders the countries of Qatar, Saudi Arabia and United Arab Emirates.

this is the first time i've seen a cj like this

It looks wonderful. The gridded roads, blocky housing developments, the sprawling blacktop highways, the scattering of supertalls, lack of landscaping, its totally middle east!The region view makes this one look a lot dubai, you even have a jebel ali(?) port area, I guess Khaled is going for singaporization

Man FF you always are doing are starting a CJ someone else has never really done...

First it was Thames way back when...then Juro and now a Middle Eastern style CJ...

Although Yoman3 has made a CJ based on Turkey some say Turkey isn't that middle eastern...but then again I still think this CJ looks promising...

hamsterTK:Cheers, those characteristics do sum up the look of a middle east city I think, its got similarities toDubai as you point out but there will be differences, for a start no palm islands!

ccecill:The main road is based off SZH road in Dubai so I reckon that's why, but in some aspects it will be different to Dubai.

This airport is so plain and simple. And because of this, it looks cool in your CJ. Also funny, I don't hava this much of space for airport.. Keep on. I also wonder there was Thames, and there is Jora a far-eastern colony of Thames, and now here is Khaled, a middle-eastern colony of Thames - what will come? Don't misunderstan, I am eager to see Khaled more. Just wondering... and stop talking trash.

bokrif:Thanks, I kept the airport simple and undeveloped so you can see a transition from a small airport to a large hub later on. Its interesting as in all my previous cj's i've never had room for airports and they were always squeezed on but with this new style there's plenty!

as for what will come in future? even I don't really know that yet

I do like the idea of creating a Middle East city. This is interesting. The desert region is very nicely done. Just what I can see is this will be a hit if you put your efforts and creativity.

The airport is absolutely great. That ATCT calls my attention.

This is an excellent start, Frogface, I'm definitely bookmarking it.

Dubai and its mega-projects have interested me quite a bit in the last few years, and I think you have embodied that style of city very nicely in this cj!
