  1. I haven't posted on this forum since 2007, but I had been playing SC4 since it came out. Worked on an airport project, read and wrote CJs, got heavily involved with the Urbs Urbis project... So when I learned about SimCity (2013) I was one of the many ecstatic people out there. Mechanics-wise, it took so much that we had considered must-haves (true region play, curved roads, expandable facilities) I was sure it was exactly what we had all be hoping for. What I never considered was that EA/Maxis would kill what made ST and the SC community in general so vibrant and interesting. EA/Maxis went from saying this: “We know the reason why people are still playing SimCity 4 ten years later is because the modding community has kept it alive. GlassBox is built to be moddable, but beyond that we haven’t announced anything.” "We're very cognizant of that -- we're not idiots."To saying this: "This SimCity architecture is much more like the Sims. In the previous SimCities it was difficult to add any additional content. We built this SimCity to be 'composable', which is the best way to describe it. It puts us in a position to make more stuff for the game and to build more content. So we'll see what people want and ask for in particular and we'll make more content." What does that really mean for the longevity of the SC community if everyone is 100% reliant on EA/Maxis for more content? Seems at the very least like the days of gorgeous/fascinating CJs are very much over.
  2. Farnsworth House

Lol, about the realism comments. Having seen the building in real-life, this is spot on. It's actually a very livable house half the year (spring and fall). The rest of the year the place has trouble regulating temperature because of the sheer glass windows.
  3. An Update of City Proposals 1

Very nice take on Lee Circle and City Park. Of course, I also like your Tulane. Of course, if it were Tulane, it would provide it's education for those hundreds/thousands of miles away.
  4. Regional Map and Developing Towns

Very cute town names. If only Louisiana looked that clean, organized and kept.
  5. Update II -- Mosaic of Sapri

What a gorgeous mosaic. Very innovative transit system. I aboslutely love the juxtaposition of architectural styles, it really adds a lot of flavor.
  6. Hinawa International Airport

That's A LOT of jumbos in one place. A more zoomed out view to get a full sense of the runway/taxiway/terminal configuration would be even sexier.
  7. Kalimgrad- And the Wheels Will Turn

I like the choice of trees.
  8. Emirates Towers

The detail put into the construction sites is so appropriate and brings a lot, especially to the night shots.
  9. Kalimgrad - Sans Forma

Imagining living in one of those neighborhoods makes me want to either cut myself, or turn to alcoholism. Great work.
  10. Khaledi Democratic Republic

How fantastic!! I love the new greenery. That mosque you have is very nice, haven't seen it on the STEX. Is the trash on purpose though?
  11. The Making of Brookeshire

I love the frontage road near the airport! But I'd like to see more boring boxes between some of the very good looking glass curtain buildings, to accent the beauty of the modern buildings.
  12. Khaledi Democratic Republic

Fantastic shot, I love what you do with the roundabouts, and the way the railroads go with the docks. Very spectacular.
  13. The Making of Brookeshire

I love that sloping convex building so much. It may be the first time I've seen it in a CJ, which astounds me considering how wonderful it is. Excellent selection and continued great work!
  14. The Making of Brookeshire

I love this CJ so much.
  15. Jargeah

Beyond stunning. The island+canal+golf course is unbelievably gorgeous.
