Ooohhhh boy, my 700th post! W0ot W0ot.

Let no one yield, we're on the field where deeds eclipse the sun; where the brave are told on a thread of gold, the tapestry is spun. As they speak of dreams, their armor gleams, this calm before the storm... Where all can see their destiny, the bishop takes the pawn.

I just got past 1500. Duke and I registered around the same time, but those two extra days he had have really made a difference. 18.gif

Well, you lurked for quite a long time, whereas I only took just over a month before I broke in and started posting a lot- and I mean a lot. I actually don't post as much as I used to. Just look at the dates on these numbers:

0 posts (registered): 07/24/2003

3244 posts: 03/24/2004

4444 posts: 05/15/2004

6666 posts: 01/27/2005

8000 posts: 07/13/2005

10000 posts: 02/19/2006

11111 posts: 10/02/2006

12345 posts: 09/28/2007

13000 posts: 02/01/2008

The noteworthy point is that I went from just above 0 to 3000 in about the same time it took me to go from 12000 to 13000. Or, to be more general, the first half of my posts were made in the first third of my time here. What caused this massive slowdown? Simple. I used to make it a point daily of posting in basically every forum game for no real reason other than to drive up the odometer. Then, eventually, through some combination of me reaching a significantly high number and simply growing up, I got bored of doing that and quit binging. Some older members here may remember the me of old- the spammy, immature teenager with a weird obsession for Kim Possible (among other things). It's shocking how different 15 is from 20...

After seeing Duke's monster post count, I feel somewhat pathetic doing this, but whatever. I've never really cared much for this post count thing anyway, but it does feel like an accomplishment to get...

2000 Posts!

Would be more like, "P2K", I'd think.31.gif

Oh, and 2nerdy4u, considering you've only been here for six and a half months, 2000 posts actually isn't too shabby. In fact, you average 8.75 posts per day, while I average 7.86. Though, admittedly, when I'd been here for only six and a half months, my posts per day was in the 15-16 region. Make of all that what you will.

I just hopped over P2K some time ago.

RLS keeps me rather busy at the moment ... I usually just hop in to see what has happened but haven't had the time to look in the CJ I used to follow up not even speaking of the new ones ...

Oh, and I miss my all time favourite CJ - with the end of AVR my regular Friday post has gone, too

Coming up on 900, an imaginary and arbitrary milestone at best.

Let no one yield, we're on the field where deeds eclipse the sun; where the brave are told on a thread of gold, the tapestry is spun. As they speak of dreams, their armor gleams, this calm before the storm... Where all can see their destiny, the bishop takes the pawn.
