@takemethere Sorry for not getting back to you, must have missed your update yesterday. File attached, includes two prop exemplars. You should place both props together if you want lights, although I don't honestly know if they work on props. I have a feeling they won't. Note, FSH textures not included, you need to have one of the engines from the pack installed for this to work. Although it should link to whichever variant is in use currently.

The shadow texture is linked to the School Bus from the base game. Perhaps it's overridden somewhere in your plugins, changing the shadow from black to green?

Head over to my Lot and Mod Shack to keep abreast of my latest developments.

Do you like custom textures, but don't like all the work involved creating them?, take a look at the Texture Automation options here. Change the look and feel of your transit networks, with the minimum of effort, for example customised versions of my Sidewalk NAM (SWN) and Terrain Grass NAM (TGN) mods, and much more besides.

New to the NAM? Check out my tutorials on YouTube. Latest upload: How to: RHW - MHO Roundabout Interchanges. (Nov 25).

p.s. - I'm MGB over on SC4D and a member of the NAM team.

Appreciate the help, thanks for taking the time to do this. Afaik I don't have anything which modifies the school bus. Haven't cleaned up the pluggins folder in a while though, I double check for that when I do.

Thing is, even if you did, does the automata present the issue with the green parts under it? If not, then the effect used is perfectly fine, it's just when it's used as a prop it's not working. The whole issue is because props usually have a LOD, but in the case of 3D models, the LOD is the model. So I wouldn't waste time trying to fix anything.

Well, sorry I don't hang around ST a lot.

These are made as automata not as props, that why the shadow is there, just like RSC said.

@Haljackey At 0:58, 2:12 those maintenance-of-way cars must not have seen you coming. Great video.

Is there any way to get the game to not render automata over intervening model views, as at 2:20 etc? I don't know if it's building or prop in that case but the train is viewed on the camera side of the building instead of behind it.

Those NWM transitions at 5:30 are sweet!

Cheeky question what are your plans for the 'bando' at 4:29? Keep up the good work.

Another question: how do you keep the train from veering randomly on every crossing? Most RRW crossings lack pathing stops...

@vester_DK I can see how my posts may have come off being critical of your work and I apologize for that. That was certainly not my intent I very much appreciate your work *:thumb:

@Haljackey Your name makes complete sense now... Going around derailing all those passenger trains and little track units after hijacking a freight train like that. tsk tsk *

CT14: I am not shure if there's a way to turn off that UDI function. Not sure what you mean by Bando?

Mitias93: I got lucky with the rail switches with the RRW.  :)

Takingtouthere: Has nothing to do with my name ;)

That reminds me how cool railway junctions look. As in the real world I don't make them any more myself for safety and capacity reasons, but they definitely do look interesting in-game.

Jeez, the second image makes me fear the cowsualties... Bud bad puns aside, those are two very atmospheric pictures. I particularly like the second one, and that's not only because of the cow! Pity the tracks don't match (yet)...

@Themistokles It's cool how you made that single track rail line curves into a tunnel like that. I'm curious about the locomotive steam, was that photoshopped or is it part of the train model? Either way great looking scene.

@vinlabsc3k I'm not sure what you mean... The image is visible to me. :) Since some people have likes the post, I suppose it was visible to them too. Maybe it was a temporary outage from Google Sites, where it is hosted? Is it still not showing for you? :)

Once I even posted a picture from Google and other users couldn't see it in the forum but me.

The others liked the image because have copied the link and pasted in the address bar like me.

This I call the 40 minute junction, it took me over 40 mins to get the rail to properly layout with the wide curves. Not sure why but the upper one took two seconds and the lower one took the 40 mins, it just did not want to be made. Finally Victory! Celebrate with me fellow Simcitzens lol

I thought about this, and am still thinking about it because though I've thought about this, I still have more thinking to do as to stop thinking about it would mean not to think.

@DavidDHetzel I like it. May I ask which freight cars are you using? Not the engine    Ohh and you might like this fix by rivit:

@CT14 I like the grungy look of the el-rail, but you can cross the TIA with the related puzzle piece, or this set don't have the overhanging lot for this situation.

@metasmurf Great rural scenes.
