I think that the kiosk stands out when it's just a preview render, but I think that it will blend in very naturally when the lot is complete. I think when the lot is put together, the kiosk won't be an issue with anyone.

Love it. The building details are great, and the texturing is superb.

You should be a professor for the new BATters at Texture University 4.gif

Great work as always.

GOOD TEXTURES ARE MADE, NOT FOUND.

    Thanks guys!

Another small update! Textures are pretty much final (although I'm still not sure about the roof texture).

The entire roof looks very good including the pipes. Is the roof surface supposed to be strips of tar? In that case it's very seemless. But then, what do I know about a good looking roof.

I like the drain pipes on the back wall. 2.gif Though I think there should be some kind of collector / sewage on the roof near the top end of the drain pipes feeding the pipes with rain water. They would be visible from the front view.

Can't wait to have this building in my cities.

Wow! Great job on the Reese Building. It would really look good in an older part of one of my cities. I'm definetly downloading this as soon as I can.

Bigbuilder: Thank you! I'm glad you like it.

I made some progress on the Logan Square apartment building tonight. Here's a preview, along with the previous update so you can see the (modest) progression:

    Hope everyone is doing well!

The level of detail is really lovely. Can't wait to see the thing completed, deep W2Ws (or semi detached as the case may be) like this are always nice. You keep reminding me to make some smaller buildings... I guess that means I have BAT envy 2.gif

Thank you so much for releasing The Reese Building . It looks awesome now in my city. Logan square apartment bldg is looking great and I am looking forward the next pictures. That's nice to see a Chicago neighborhood building.

EDIT: I just stumbled by the first page where you have your project list and I couldn't help but notice that you list Book Tower and Carew Tower in Cincy. How are those coming along? 31.gif6.gif46.gif42.gif

SimHoTToDDy: Yeah, well then I have grit envy! I always wanted to make lots of factories and warehouses for the game, and you have! Thanks! 3.gif

allez l'om: You're welcome! And thank you!

    Aaron Graham: Thanks!

pingangster: Thank you! And shhh... I haven't revealed one of those yet! 2.gif

    art128: Thank you!

Big update this evening! I've finished modeling the building itself; now I just need to add some roof junk and various other details. And then textures!

Coming along very nicely. Good to see a typical mutli-unit Chicago apartment being made. I'll have to map out the Logan Square area and make an update in my CJ when you release it.

Oooooh, this should be a great corner building for those W2W areas, but it could also look good on its own. Can't wait to see it textured! 4.gif

Coming along really well, but are you sure about the reinforced concrete wall on the back?

I saw this feature on a lot of industrial buildings, and sometimes even in commercial buildings, but i did never see that on that type of residential buildings....i might be mistaken though, as my knowledge of those buildings comes from other areas (bronx, upper manhattan) and not from Logan park. But still, i believe that an all-brick side or an all concrete one would be more appropriate for this building.

Everything else is perfect, though 4.gif!

P.S. Could you add a firescape on the front or on the brick side? That would be the icing on the cake 3.gif!

    Jason & Todd: Thank you!

Hanson784: Thanks! Do you have a Chicago cj? It'd be cool to see Logan Square re-created in the game!

T Wrecks: Well, the wait is over!

    logan30.jpg          logan31.jpg

I'm still working on the textures; in particular, I'm not happy with the glass.

Francis90b: Thank you! I was also surprised by the reinforced concrete, but I guess it is fairly common among buildings constructed in the 1920s. This is a real building in Chicago and it does indeed have a reinforced concrete wall!

    logan_photo.jpg

And it also has a fire escape, so your wish will be granted!

Incredible job on the textures so far. It makes the building seem alot better that it was before and makes it harder to wait until it is released.

Textures look amazing as always. Love the little details also.

Reinforced concerete is a common site here, in fact many taller 1920's buildings south of Belmont Ave have it, well at least along the El lines.

I do have a Chicago CJ, you can find it in my sig below.

Wow that one came along fast. I really like it. Nice stone details that look great against the colour of the brick. The only thing I would suggest is brightening the ground floor windows a bit. They're a little dark. especially for the main level of a building.
