I'm so old that I don't remember a sillier but wonderful topic as this one. And I keep coming back to it. Go figure...

Ha! Me too! Including the original disks of SC 2000 from 1993!

BTW, did you know that France's antipode is near NZ? It feels like we are neighbors. *:P.

But, I'm so old that, that... oh heck! That I forgot what I was going to say...

I'm so old, that I could bemuse my teacher when I hailed him in class the same way I had seen the day before at the olympics by Tommie Smith and John Carlos.

I'm so old I remember when schools used overhead projectors with clear plastic sheets! The teacher's hand would block out some of the letters and numbers. It was either that or just using a plain old whiteboard with markers. Anytime we wanted to watch a film, they had to wheel in an actual TV. By the time I reached middle school I was just blown away when the 'new' place had digital projectors linked to the computer!

I'm so old, I can still remember the sound of steam engine driven saws cutting the trees in halfs and the aching sound when they felt from the flat conveyor, echoing down the hills in the small valley where I grew up. And those people standing at the river side with this strange tool, a long stick with a rake to fetch the trees from the river and pulling them to the waters edge.

And the workers when they moved house, sometimes they carried their wooden doors with them from the old to the new house - because they had so much love and respect for the material they worked with.

[EDIT] When I translate directly from german to english it would be a 'raftsmen hook'. Is this correct?

I'm so old I remember when people actually watched where they were walking instead of looking down at some electronic device.

I'm so old I actually remember Northwest Airlines DC-10's lined up at SFO. Always got a great view of them there and in flight when I reached my aunt's in South San Francisco.

I guess i'm so old I don't realize most of my favorite games were made that far back. Arcade games I sometimes think were not a long time ago based on the dates shown in Namco arcade collections I got on PS2 disks. Now even that's two generations behind now..

Flight Sim. X didn't come out for another 3 years after SC4 and that too is over a decade old now..

Namco arcade collections, those were so fun...

I'm so old that I remember buying not-too-buggy, non-broken, complete games on cartridges that had minimal load times and never needed to be patched.  Because they couldn't be.
