Nice snow effects. 4.gif

I do have a question. I notice you're using that avenue arch. I forgot what it was called, but I used it for a time too. My main problem with it is that it was causing massive traffic jams even when only a few cars were going through it. It was always red on the traffic data view. How is it for you?

Schulmanator, pipishere-Thank you very much for your comments.

    infinitum19-Of course I do!

jacqulina-I'm not too fond of horse meat anyways! Thanks.

    Schulmanator-I get it!

    tommiej-Well, here are your pictures!

    pipishere-Sometime soon!

jacqulina-I assure you, you will be surpirsed, but it's not hiding much.

asturianu-Don't you have a king, making Zapatero a prime minister? Thanks. '

    Voulpiotis-Thank you!

    Giligone-Why, yes it is!

zelgadis-Thank you. As for the arch, I forget the name too, but it's debussyman. As I said, I dug it up, so I'll have to check.

Well, I hate to double post, but I have an UPDATE!

    DUN DUN DUN!

    princetonoh1.jpg

This is the FIRST installment in the New New Hampton series, even though the city is no longer called that. So let's call it The New St. Laurent!

    I. Princeton

    pricetonlocau7.jpg

Here is the location of Princeton. It isn't a full-fleged city, as you can see that it is not surrounded by the borders.

    elmwoodbarcz4.jpg

The historic Elmwood Bar. This is more or less "downtown" Princeton. It is a small, sleepy village, but it promises to grow a bit when a manufacturing plant comes soon.

    pichyq2.jpg

The side of the Elmwood Bar, and "downtown".

    primarypitchmm8.jpg

The primary school (K-7, elementary and middle school for Americans like me) It was built wth space for K-12 students, but they built a secondary school anyways in the 60's, so now it's half empty! Hopefully it will fill up soon.

    centralsecez2.jpg

Well, I should add that many students choose to ride bikes to school.

    zaunrr2.jpg

Some flatish 70's houses, and the new OberGen clinic.

    homersfl8.jpg

As you can see, a few small houses are being replaced by larger ones. This is becoming a more common trend. Most of the town sits on previously severly undervalued property, as it has fantastic views of the Bay of  Redhill.

    lalalalalalaep3.jpg

The wood seen here is to become a park of some sort, but four consecutive sub-town councils have failed to come to fruition. If a park is built, property values are expected to double or event triple.

    parkat5.jpg

Even the newer homes' days may be numbered: midrises are planned.

    churchsb3.jpg

Now, before you get all offended, I'm a faithful Catholic too. I'm eating NO meat for Lent.

    bedinditi9.jpg

Some older houses on King Street.  New condos are planned to fill this image.

    moresmoresgo5.jpg

Older houses are being renvoated at enlarged, as is seen in this picture.

    subwaysn9.jpg

Why don't we take the subway to the next stop, err... I don't know what the next installment is.

An interesting and detailed update. I don't think I have seen the de-steepled church before. Did you make it?

Your latest update is looking good. I like the little descriptions on certain pictures that highlight apart of the history of the area, or just plain describes what we are looking at.

Your CJ is certainly improving the more you play and the more you update. I wonder where your CJ will go from here.

Keep up the good work you have been bringing us these last few updates, and good to see you are uploading the first few pages of pictures again.

    Testing mosaics.

    Uumke-Thanks!

Schulmanator-I photoshopped off the steeple. It's by nexis.

Yoman3-I did. It looks much better. Thanks for the advice

    jacqulina-Why, thank you very much.

pipishere-Yes, yes they are. I will make sure to go back to princeton.

Fox-They are still in beta, but thanks. Well, I have a storyline, with some nazi conspir- I'm giving away too much. I need to convert the first page images to JPEG format, as they were PNGs, and I was iffy with JPEG as quality was reduced in paint. Alas, Photoshop is not paint! Thanks for the kind (and long) comment.

    Simfan34-What a beautiful map!17.gif

Yoman3-It shall be.  Devloping it would not be nearly as hard as getting in-game

    Schulmanator-Indeed.

*Will not be narsistic again *

    pipishere-Thanks!

tommiej-Thank you! I replied to you personally below.

Sigh. How many times do I reply to my own comments?

    homeandaway-Brillant? I am flattered!

jacqulina- Nor can I, Jackie, nor can I!

Well, I have just one more dependecy to sort out. Stupid BSC giving links to deleted depencies. AAnd I need to write out my story. (Goes to do that) Thanks to all of you for your kind comments!

    homeandaway-Well, it's actually a fort, but don't worry, it hasn't flooded.

    jacqulina-Thank you very much!

pipishere- I had a very good easter, thank you. I really am quite flattered

porter66083-Oh, thank you! How are those planes coming?

ilikehotdogsalot-Just having you posting here is good enough! Thank you!

    defaultscrenmetfsdmt0.jpg

    Well, here starts the storyline!

    Characters:

    bluesuit02wothnamebl3.jpg

General Hudson Perry Columban, a very well esteemed General of New Burgundy. A very likeable man, he is the kind of person that likes to stop and  smell the flowers.Yes, that’s his signature

So let it begin. The story takes place at Ft. St. David, outside St. Laurent.

    mapcopyyb0.jpg

It was just another morning. Another day. Another day of honour and predictability. This, after many years of war, was what General Columban liked. No surprises, no sneak attacks, no ambushes. As he set  out to work, and bid his wife goodbye, he was calm.

     newcitymay1011175911685af8.jpg

As he headed down the hill in his car, the sun rose. He crossed the tracks, and passed the Police HQ. He went to base headquarters. It was quiet.

    newcityjan2002117591461iw6.jpg

As the sun rose, so did the noise. It was still quiet, but others, a few, were out as well. As he rounded the central square, he thought to appreciate all that God had given him.

    newcitymay1701117591237pz2.jpg

There were a few  people at HQ. Not many came before breakfast. Before getting out of the car, he looked at the clock. It was 6:45. As he entered the building, the few people in bid him a good morning, asked him how he was, and he did the same. It was the usual, the way he liked it.

    newcityjun1301117591250ig3.jpg

As he walked to the Police Headquarters, he noticed how many trees there were. He liked trees, the natural greens standing out amongst the buildings, in this case. As he entered, he wished the guard, a big man named Shelton, good morning. He replied, “Good morning sir. What’s happening today? Anything special?”

The General replied, “Nothing really, Shelton. The only thing a bit different is that I have a talk with a person from the High Office later, a guy named Easton. Young,”

“I know him. Smart one. Talked to him once when I was doing work in the city. Bit nosey, but he’ll listen good,” responded Shelton. “See you around, boss.”

As he walked around the building, with no one there, he thought he a shuffle in one of the offices behind him. He entered in the office, to only find that nothing was amiss. The only suspicious thing was an unnaturally messy desk in the back. As he exited the building, he told Shelton, “Heard something in the back; you might want to check it out.”

“ I will,’ replied Shelton. “Just let me lock the doors so nobody gets in, except with a key”

As Shelton locked the door behind him, he walked down to the square, and decided to stop at the barracks.

    newcitynov3001117591373he6.jpg

A few men were up, but not many. He walked into one of the rooms and opened the blinds.

“Ahh!” said one solider, “Turn off that light, you b-“

The general interrupted him. “I’d look at who you’re talking to before talking like that.”

The solider turned red as he saw the general. “Sorry, General”

    The general chuckled.

    newcitynov3001117591427fq7.jpg

Soon it was 7:30. As General Columban walked into the dining hall, he saw the assigned servers and cooks run back and forward from the tables to the kitchen. Soon people started to pour into the building. When every one was seated, he began to speak. “Solders, staff, guests, good morning. Today is another fine day. I have not much to say, but I have an urge to randomly shout something.” He paused for a moment, and the said, “Poppycoock! There, you may now eat.” He sat amid the roaring laughter. As he ate his meal, which happened to be corned beef hash and eggs, he thought of how good things were. At eight, they were all but done. He simply dismissed them, and went off to Headquarters.

    newcityoct1301117591333ut6.jpg

As he looked out of the window of his office, he gazed upon the South Barracks. He did not see much, but he did spot the Communications center. He thought about his retirement. Five years, yes, he thought.

    newcityjun1101117591249wp2.jpg

He went down in his car after sorting out papers, sending emails out, and singing for one of his associates. He stopped at the rail depot to see a new order of tanks coming in. He then sped off.

    newcityjun8011175912463fa5.jpg

He then made an early turn. Passing the Soldier’s mess, he groaned. He thought of what a beautiful day it was.

    newcitynov3001117591367na8.jpg

Then, turning around, he passed the communications center. He greeted the guard.

    newcityoct1601117591335jt5.jpg

After making a U-turn, he drove down the road, and passing the West Depot, chucked at the tree in the depot.

    newcitynov1201117591351lz6.jpg

Making a left, he passed the port gate and had to present himself as the Commander of the base. The man inside said, “You can go, sir. You look like the general and are driving his car. “

    newcitynov1001117591350yr5.jpg

As he went down to the docks, he passed the water tower. He told himself, I am in the mood for fried chicken. I don’t know why. I just I am. Let me call the Dining hall, they’ll make it for supper.

    newcitymay1011175911798ur9.jpg

    *Not part of the storyline”

    newcityoct1801117591336tx0.jpgnewcitynov1401117591353bq6.jpg

As the afternoon sun started to fade, General Columban realized that he had a meeting with that Easton from the High Office. He started to head home. newcitymay8011175912322fi2.jpg

He passed the South barracks on his way home. He was glad that Easton was to come at 6:30, he had 15 minutes to take his evening walk

    newcitynov3001117591395gp7.jpg

He went into his house to get his jacket, only to find Easton inside. “Good evening, Easton. You are here early!”

“Yes, I am, General,” replied Easton. “My parents always said that it is good to be early.”

“You are too early. I was going to take a walk. Let me put my jacke-“

“No, no, sir. Take a walk,” said Easton. It was a choice Easton would regret making.

    newcitynov3001117591379cr2.jpg

“Thank you, Easton.” That was all the general said.

    newcitynov3001117591390ki6.jpg

He passed the communications tower. He stopped for a glass of water. He then continued to walk.

    newcitynov3001117591388bq0.jpg

Looking out at the bay, he thought that it would if they could build a platform here. He then glanced at the runway that was being built. Soon planes and fighters would be in the air. After breathing in the salty air, he turned around.

    newcitynov3001117591392zy3.jpg

As he headed back home and back to Easton, he heard someone behind him. He turned around. There was a man, a lieutenant by his uniform. General Columban started to say “Good Evening”, but stopped when the lieutenant pulled out a pistol. He fired twice. General Columban fell to the ground. The man kicked him into a ditch, and threw some leaves over him. There ended the illustrious life of a patriot.
