El Grande, your region is the biggest and most spread out ive ever seen! It's just like regions here in Australia: there's usally heaps of small cities in close proximity to each other but they meet up in the middle because they don't need to save space in Australia.

Here is my St. Louis Metro East region

I have finished the Illinois side of the river and still have a lot to do before I can build the Missouri side.  I have to create the Missouri River and fix the bend on the Mississippi which looks extremely unnatural

This region is massive so ill just pst thumbnails

damn, el_grande02! That is the best region I have ever seen! You should downsize it and post it directly here for others to see (instead of copying and pasting URL).

URL is the best way to do it, I would never sacrafice quality of a region view to scrunch it into 600x400 just to stay within the limited limit of ST. Hosting it off site is the best way to do it here.

well, he could post the image, which when clicked shows the full resolution (I'm not quite sure how to do that though).

Hi... I've only ever posted once before. I guess I'm shy, lol. Anyway, here is my region. I used a stock Maxis region, which I realize now isn't great, but I applied many lessons learned from this forum and I made a nice group of smallish cities 4.gif

Lol, my maxis region looks like junk compared to all yours... OMG indeed!

My problem is I spend 500+ years in each city to make it perfect to me, I'm such a perfectionist 22.gif. After I finish my MASSIVE urban area I'm going to go all urbs and rural... I need to take a break form Uber cities lmao.

^wow that looks fantastiC!!

I love the extremely wide region first of all.. and second the way you developed has such a more realistic feel to it compared to just about every other region I have seen.

^very nice, i like dense amount of trees in the middle, although it seems odd that you have that many separate skyscrapers yet only 355,000 residents..

lots of commercial jobs. i just want to have a realistic region shot, but not bore you all with no cities. i like having cities, so i have 4 or 5 spread out in their respected places.

Allright, I will place my first post at Simtropolis 19.gif

This is my region Achterland. It measures 16x18 km, and at this very moment, 476.700 Sims live in it. I know it's not a very large region, but that is because I've spent a lot of time in terraforming and building my cities as realistic as possible.

The two main rivers flow from the hills, through a large delta, into the sea. The two largest cities, Azedam and Greddemond, are located between these two rivers. In the future, this downtown area will expand towards the sea, where the third city is located: the isle of Ypelland.

But first I will place a lot of agricultural areas in the whole region...
