Whispering Hills (BTW thats a great city name! very poetic)

Very good looking sector and nice mix of industry commerce and residential!

The vineyard (Dom Perignon) and the sugarcane farm shots are fantastic!

I really like thoses small villages built along the riverside! Typical of the villages of where I grew up!

That letter from Jonah was really something, reminded me of a friend who was in a similar situation two years ago. You touched me man!

Chapter 29
Loved the cemetary shots, the farms shots were great as well!

And as for not updating as regularly, this ain't a race, we're suppose to have fun, if not what's the point! So take care of yourself first and the rest will come in due time! After all, real life IS the real thing!

MB13r: Hey! Yes, there is a pine tree farm, very interestingly enough. Glad you like the water texture, I believe it's Timotheus's Green colour...thanks for commenting!

    aasim45: Thanks!

Amyrai200: Thanks to you as well!

lookinin: I must admit, I was drooling at that part as well. Glad you like the cemetery and such, and a really big thank you for adding me to your signature! Horror in Labourton is so awesome!

Darmok(x2): Congrats on finishing your reading! Also, thanks for always posting your progress, interesting to hear what new readers think about your old work...

MPM: Thanks! Always happy to hear that I've inspired someone...

    sloppet: Thanks!

FS: Hmmm...thought it was that cough medicine I gave you...2.gif

All: Well, I've made a decision. This CJ has to end sometime, and that date will be...August 1st. Then, I'll work all of August on something really, really big, which I can't tell you about yet, although it will be kind of like an interactive Airplane with a little bit of the San Juan Islands mixed in.

Until then, I'll try to keep updating, as all the area east of Moon River is going to be small cities and farmland, while all the area west is going to be sprawl. Just keeping you posted.

    Until next time...

palmgurl: Thanks! Oh, and BTW...if you're looking for a new favourite journal...3.gif2.gif

KOSC: Yes, but don't worry...I've got something great planned. Just wait and see...oh, and hooray, 700th post! Congratulations!

All: An update, soon enough. Pawtucket is finished, I just need to take pictures. Then, we'll get started on some sprawl...and some highways...it's going to be interesting.

Cjah: I hope so too. Of course, if lurking around here is more your style, feel free...I actually like lurkers, this CJ has low views for a CJ its size! Feel free to lurk here anytime!

Well, I'm really sorry for the delay, but here's another update!

    ---------------------------------------------------------------

    CHAPTER 30-THE SPRAWL REVOLUTION BEGINS

Man, did I ever feel bad for Jonah. Since he was the only person authorized to make a decision of this magnitude, he had to call the regional planning offices inbetween chemotherapy sessions to tell them his choice.

He had two options. He could continue rural development to the east, or begin the sprawl to the west. I was with him by cellphone, and I can tell you that he deliberated on end with himself before making the right choice.

And thus, the sprawl revolution began. It started out small: a tiny town called Falkland, which could turn out to be the gateway to the west. Welcome to Falkland, population 4800.

    falklanddec20911191479472fr.jpg

One of Falkland's biggest attractions so far is the budding recreational system. There are hiking trails, lovely ponds, and stunning trees lining this particular park.
    falklanddec20911191479892sp.jpg

Another big attraction is the Falkland Solar Power Generation System. These solar cells help to keep Falkland powered and pollution-free.
    falklanddec20911191480437gq.jpg

Falkland has yet another attractive proposition: a big high-tech industry base. Many huge companies have factories here, with 2,000 industrial jobs being provided.
    falklanddec20911191480664hx.jpg

Falkland has 2 commercial centres. There's this smaller one, with pretty boutiques and shops:
    falklanddec20911191480948im.jpg

And this bigger one, with a Borders, Starbucks, and Famous Players:
    falklanddec20911191481211tc.jpg

And of course, to tide you over until the next update, those lovely suburbs you all love so much. Here's a bunch of suburban goodness to keep you warm at night.

    falklanddec20911191482903xl.jpg

Well, I guess that's it for now...next time I get the chance, I'll show you more of Falkland. Also, I visit Jonah next week...

    -------------------------------------------------------------

There's the first update in...well, quite a while. I really hope you enjoyed it, and be sure to leave a comment, we couldn't have gotten to 700 without them!

TMS: Thanks my friend. Yes, we've all seen what happens when sprawl gets out of hand...lol.

I'll take this time to apologize for the blue background in some of the shots, my game does that sometimes when saving...

Looks cool, reminds me of some of the sprawling towns I've created in the past. Funny how while they share a similar design, they all turn out different.

I especially like how much flora there is, any nominations for Tree City yet?

Very sweet. I never was a big fan of suburbs, but just as happened with farms, I also started to like these. Nice job!

Fairlane: Thanks. You're right, almost all sprawl shares the same basic concept, but it's all a little bit different...and Railroad is amazing!

jacqulina: Thanks for your constant support and excellent comments. And don't worry, I'll be back with something new soon enough...

FS: Good to hear. Yet another converted sprawler...lol.

Mikeaut1: No worries, there'll be sprawl for a long time. Like try until the end of this CJ.

Darmok: Thanks. Glad you like the solar panels.

NYR1: Always nice to see you here, thanks for the comment!

All: I know I do this all the time but...I've changed my mind. LOAA will NOT end on August 1st as planned, but will continue until I see fit. I guess I just needed some time to re-evaluate the situation...

RHF - As much as I would have been opposed to the sprawl, I must say that it is done quite well my friend.  Loved the update.
