    palmgurl: Yes, Sandy Falls is located along the same fresh-water river as Moon River and Pawtucket. Many of the farmers have set up wells, therefore the water towers in town are used for the residences and businesses.

    All: Update later today. It'll sort of be a tour around Sandy Falls, which has grown to 700 citizens, with looks at some interesting areas, farms, and such. See you there!

    Well, I guess the next update is due! I hope you all really enjoy it!

    CHAPTER 37-MORE SANDY FALLS

         Well, over the weekend, Jonah and I went down to Sandy Falls ourselves, leaving Carlea with Judith. Here's the first picture I took, while flying over the town with the Cessna.
    sandyfallsoct170811207914060gz.jpg

         The oldest part of town is now just a sideshow, with some new shops, less poor folk, and the solar cells that power the town. However, it's still a nice place to visit if you're looking for hairstylists...
    sandyfallsoct170811207914369jx.jpg

         The main road into town, Jackson Street, is lined with farms and family homes. Jackson Street eventually leads to a big intersection that forms the town centre.
    sandyfallsoct170811207914559oh.jpg

         Soon we reached Sandy Falls proper, a collection of mansions and townhomes and street vendors eager to sell you their wares. It's really a charming place to be, with many of the town's 700 residents residing here.
    sandyfallsoct170811207914801iw.jpg

         Our hotel is the Queen Anne Manor, a converted apartment building now providing luxury accomodations to tourists. The Regatta Suite runs $300/night, with the rest of the building going for a cheaper $250/night.
    sandyfallsoct170811207915074he.jpg

         Little London is a collection of rowhomes and flats straight from the streets of the fabled British capital. The site is popular with students from Falkland University who don't mind the 45 minute drive to classes.
    sandyfallsoct170811207915209wh.jpg

         The mayor's home is this lovely building, known as Pentonville Place. I certainly wouldn't mind living here, as what we saw during our tour of the building was spectacular. And everyone says being mayor doesn't have any perks! 1.gif
    <ahttp://img98.imageshack.us/img98/1374/sandyfallsoct170811207915412ph.jpg align=baseline>

         We continue along Jackson Street, passing Markham Row, with more flats and boutiques. The traffic noise is sometimes bothersome, but the residents are all happy for the most part.
    <ahttp://img98.imageshack.us/img98/8908/sandyfallsoct170811207915671ax.jpg align=baseline>

         A quiet new development off of Jackson is filled with lower-wealth homes, but is envisioned to be like a smaller town centre, with rowhomes and shops for everyone to enjoy.
    <ahttp://img98.imageshack.us/img98/6946/sandyfallsoct170811207915883kf.jpg align=baseline>

         Finally, we come to the Mariano Bridge intersection, with some small homes and farms lining Jackson. It's the quiet country life, which some folks adore. I certainly miss Montauk Downs, with it's scenic drives, and ponds, and Elizabeth...but I must'nt dwell on the past.
    <ahttp://img98.imageshack.us/img98/8716/sandyfallsoct170811207916092ms.jpg align=baseline>

         So that was it for our visit to Sandy Falls. We're definitely coming back again, I think the small-town charm captured both our hearts. Until next time...

    Steve

         Well, that's the update. I hope you like it, be sure to leave a comment!

    TMS: No worries, with a bit of practice, the BSC farms can make a city sparkle regardless of the player's talent. They're amazing.

    Darmok: Thanks my friend. Those PEG solar collectors sure are useful, way more power than windmills, just as clean, and just as cheap.

    Meister: As usual, thanks a ton. I always love your comments.

    sirgeoj2: Thanks.

    jacqulina: Glad you like the farms! Thanks for commenting.

    All: Not too many comments eh? Ah well, this was to be expected. I've been immersed in TS2-University, so no update is ready, but expect one in the next 2 or 3 days.

    Wow, a great response, and while I was away from ST for a day...ah well, gives me great pleasure to update and reply to all these comments!

    KOSC: Wow, thanks! I've said this many a time before, but I love to hear when I inspire people. These rural CJs that are popping up and growing are really influencing me as well, one I particularly like is Nardo69's Urland, I lurk around there a lot. And thanks for the heads up on tying Digby! I guess I'm past it now...nearing 30 pages!

    Meister: No worries, the update is here now, and I'll let you know on MSN, Mr. Teddy Bear...3.gif

    SA: Thanks. Sandy Falls is really going to stay with the same development throughout its featuring in this CJ, and I'm glad you like it!

    mentarman: Thanks.

    FS: Hey, long time no see! *waves* Glad to see that you still like everything, good to see my long-time viewers are remaining happy!

    Glenni: Well, not sure what that comment meant, but the thumbs up seems positive, so thanks! 44.gif

    newy2: Thanks! Don't worry, we'll be in Sandy Falls for a while...I'd be guessing until maybe page 35, if I got 8 comments an update.

    palmgurl: Thanks!

    And now, that update!

    CHAPTER 38-SANDY FALLS PT. 3

         Well, we're back in Sandy Falls, for more pictures and development news! Here are some shots of the town during both the day and night.
    <ahttp://img330.imageshack.us/img330/6967/sandyfallsjul111211211081991xd.jpg align=baseline>

    <ahttp://img327.imageshack.us/img327/7966/sandyfallsjul111211211084714yg.jpg align=baseline>

         Now, let's take a look at the newest neighbourhood from the last update. Urbanization and expansion has taken place, with a sort of New York-ish theme happening. Street vendors, row homes straight from Brooklyn and a hopping nightclub scene have made Little NYC the place to be right now.
    <ahttp://img327.imageshack.us/img327/3219/sandyfallsjul111211211082337hd.jpg align=baseline>

         And from another angle:
    <ahttp://img327.imageshack.us/img327/4740/sandyfallsjul111211211083975uq.jpg align=baseline>

         Another new development on a 3-way border between Moon River, Falkland and Sandy Falls has the suburban feel of the western areas in the region. Small offices and bungalows spot the budding haven for younger parents, who represent 71% of the demographic here.
    <ahttp://img327.imageshack.us/img327/6537/sandyfallsjul111211211082996lt.jpg align=baseline>

         However, with this recent influx in population more and more agriculture has been flocking to Sandy Falls. There's this commercial farm, selling all types of flowers and owned by a kindly woman named Barby, who the whole town respects, despite the many requirements for buying some of her beloved marigolds.
    <ahttp://img340.imageshack.us/img340/7082/sandyfallsjul111211211083334zv.jpg align=baseline>

         Then, delving into more typical farms, there are tulips:
    <ahttp://img340.imageshack.us/img340/3299/sandyfallsjul111211211083555no.jpg align=baseline>

         Corn:
    <ahttp://img340.imageshack.us/img340/5336/sandyfallsjul111211211083688ed.jpg align=baseline>

         And the delicious beans of the Goober Plantation, found on many dinner plates throughout the region every night.
    <ahttp://img340.imageshack.us/img340/7772/sandyfallsjul111211211084363fp.jpg align=baseline>

         Well, there's the update! Sorry it took so long, graduating your Sims through university summa cum laude takes a while...thanks for your continued support. Who'd a thunk we'd get this far? You all have no idea how much I value each and every single word in your comments. I'm sure other CJers can relate: they fill you with inspiration no matter the type, and not many other things can do that.

    Codythemonkey: Glad you like the farming, and the Cul-de-Sac mod can be found in the modding section. It's made by Qurlix, and I love it.

    Meister: Thanks for commenting. And about the teddy bear thing...you know what I mean. 2.gif
