Wow...this died quickly. I make my 503rd post here, next to one I'd posted 13 posts ago (or so).

I had to give you 503. 500 went to Choco, 501 to Magpie. 498 went to Darmok. 499 and 502 went to others.

    Update 10: Mt. Jamig Development

    galesfe101qt9.jpg

Most of Mt. Jamig is left in its natural state, mostly because a nice, green area is needed, but also because most of the mountain isn't developable anyway. The southern side has a region of skyscrapers outside the main CBD, and here, along the western slopes, is a medium wealth area with several different types of residential towers.

    galesfe102tk6.jpg

The Terrazzi Condos is the biggest tower in this area, and offers a great view of the mountain as well as the surrounding city from the top floors, especially from the rooftop plaza area. (Weather permitting)

    galesfe103hj4.jpg

Night view of the Terrazzi Condos.

    galesfe104wt4.jpg

Random night view of the nearby skyscraper zone.

    galesfe105ld2.jpg

Random day view of the surrounding skyscraper zone, with part of Mt. Jamig visible in the back.

    Preview!!

A view of one of the racetrack on the planet Myon for Hover-racing, similar to the pod-racing in Star Wars, but safer. (no Tusken Raiders, for one thing.) The pond is part of the track. (watch out for the trees)

A turn that follows the pond area.

    Comments:

cityhawk, Yoman3, Kippis05: Thanks for the comment!

GaBoR: Yes, the underground building (actually, the entire underground part of Galesfe City) is the Geofront.

CDI_spy: It is a BAT, can't find link at this time.

    Tracker: Yes.

Tracker (again): I can't update all the time... Maybe I should go a little quicker, though.

    Hey Leech10,

Really lovely CJ you have here. So many parks! I love it! They all look so wonderful the way you have arranged them.

Also really awesome job with all the nature shots and fitting so many beautiful trees in and around your city development. And great use of PEG's water lots!!!

Great job all around - looking forward to more!

This is fantastic!  The terraforming early in the journal is fantastic!  And your cities look great as well.  That racing track there looks pretty cool, nice mixture of terrains.  I'm looking forward to watching this develop!

    Update 11, Story: Ominous Developments

    May 26th, 0150AL

    user posted image

Scott: Yay, school's out! Now we have the entire summer to do whatever we want!

Tiffany: Well, whatever we want weather permitting.

She points up to the sky, where clouds are beginning to roll in.

Binashu: It's usually cloudy here anyway, besides it will keep the sun hidden so it won't get so hot.

Igrasa: I have this strange feeling that something is going to happen...

    Lauren: What do you mean?

    Scott: Are you okay?

Igrasa: I don't know what it is, it might just have been something I ate, because I've never felt like that before. I'm fine now, though.

Tiffany: Very strange, I hope your right about it being something you ate.

    user posted image

Igrasa: Where are we going? I though we were going to Lauren's house, but we just went by it.

Binashu: There's another park just a little bit farther down, were we can just sit in the trees and watch the people and cars go by. There are even some tree houses there as well!

Lauren: I just hope that the other kids don't have the same idea.

    user posted image

    Tiffany: Ack, its all crowded.

Binashu: Hey, no one seems to be at our favorite tree, though!

They run to the tree, and climb (or fly, in Scott's case) up the tree to the treehouse halfway up the tree in the thickest part. The treehouse creaks a little bit when they all get in, but it soon quiets down.

Igrasa: Sure is quiet up here.

    Tiffany: Yes, its so peaceful.

They listen for awhile, to the birds in the tree, the cars driving by, and any other sounds that make it into the tree. After a few minutes, however, everything goes quiet, including the birds, and even the people in the park, so that all they hear is the occasional car.

Lauren: This is weird, I've never heard that before.

They soon hear the wind pick up, and it blows some cool air into the treehouse, and then they hear the distant rumble of thunder to the west.

Binashu: Why does a storm have to come right when we get to the park?

Tiffany: I think we better go home now, before the storm comes.

They leave the treehouse, and begin walking back to the north, and just as they leave the park, it begins to rain, and the wind picks up even more.

Lauren: I think you should all come to my house, as it is the closest.

Tiffany: Okay, now lets go! I'm getting wet!

    user posted image

Lauren's Mom: Hello, you look a little wet.

    Tiffany: A little? I'm soaked!

Scott shakes himself off in the entryway like a dog

Lauren's Mom: Good thing we have a easily cleanable floor here, but next time, could you shake yourself off before you come inside?

    Scott: Sorry.

Lauren's Mom: Should I call your parents so they know where you are?

    Tiffany and Igrasa: Yes

    Binashu: Okay.

Lauren: I hope that the rain doesn't stay too long, so we could maybe go back out to the park again.

Igrasa: I don't know, it looks like it is coming down pretty hard, I can already see puddles outside.

Scott: Maybe we should check the weather on TV to see.

    user posted image

Reporter: There are several storm systems in the area at this time, one of which is currently moving into Galesfe City, the main part has just came on shore, so if you are outside in the Galesfe City area, you should head indoors, this storm has shown the potential to produce damaging winds of up to 45MPH in places.

Reporter: The main system that we are monitoring, however, is a rapidly developing tropical system, it has begun to rotate, and what appears to be an eye is starting to develop in the center. The maximum sustained winds in this storm are currently at 35MPH, so it isn't a tropical storm yet, but it could easily become on within the next few hours as it continues its path to the east at around 10MPH.

Lauren: The main part isn't even here yet!

Tiffany: I don't like the looks of that big thing out in the ocean...

    To be continued...

I just hate those pesky tropical systems. They get so old after the first 5 times. Anyway, I'm looking forward to seeing what role the weather will play on the great developing story!

Update 12, Story: What's up with Igrasa?

    May 26th, 0150AL

    galesfe121uq4.jpg

Lauren: Okay, the rain stopped, but what should we do now?

Binashu: I want to go back to the tree.

Tiffany: I'm already wet, what if it rains again?

Igrasa: That storm won't be here for awhile, but I think we should stay here, just in case.

Scott: What's up with you, Igrasa? You're starting to scare me, like the world is going to blow up or something.

Lauren's Mom: We're going to Tiffany's house before the storm comes, because it is the biggest, and everyone is going to come and spend the night an ride out the storm there.

Laur (Lauren's little brother): Come on, lets go!

Tiffany: He sure seems excited about this for some reason...

They soon go outside and begin walking over to Tiffany's house. Igrasa, mad that the weekend is most likely going to be ruined, looks over at a newspaper vending machine, which promptly tips over with a clang.

    Binashu: What was that?

Igrasa: That newspaper thing over there.

Scott: How did it do that?

Igrasa: I have no idea... It just fell over after I looked at it.

Laur: Maybe it was a ghost!

    galesfe122tr0.jpg

Once inside, they went over where everyone was sleeping at, which included Tiffany, Larissa (Meiring), Lauren, and Igrasa in Tiffany's room, and Binashu, Scott, Laur, and Michael (Meiring) in Michael's room. (Michael is Tiffany's younger brother, but not by much, and Larissa is the youngest of the Meiring children.)

    galesfe123jp4.jpg

Later on in the afternoon, as another small storm came in, Tiffany began talking to Igrasa about what was going on.

Tiffany: It just seems strange, doesn't it? First you feel that something bad is going to happen, and then a storm pops up and we find that a big storm that could be a hurricane in the making is coming straight for us. And then, there is also the newspaper thing, it didn't fall over by itself, and I doubt that a ghost did it.

Lauren: Just ignore Laur, he likes making silly comments like that.

Igrasa: I don't know... I don't feel any different than before, maybe it was just some weird coincidence.

    Tiffany: Maybe... *laughs*

    Igrasa: What's so funny?

Tiffany: *still laughing* you have new ears. *snorts*

    Igrasa: Huh?... Lauren?

    Lauren: OUCH!

Igrasa: Ooops, I'm sorry... what did I do?

Lauren: I don't know, but my hand that I had behind your head just smacked me in the face, and it wasn't me. My arm felt like it was hit by something, and I don't know what.

    Igrasa: Ghosts?

Lauren: *To herself* Not you too...

Lauren: I don't think it was a ghost...

Tiffany: Well, this would be another one of those strange occurrences that I have no idea what is going on, and I don't think this was a coincidence...

The door opens, and Larissa comes in.

Larissa: What's going on in here?

    Tiffany: Nothing

    Igrasa: Yes, nothing...

    Lauren: Yeah, what they said.

    galesfe125dm4.jpg

Reporter: Hurricane Bathesda continues to strengthen, and is currently a category 1 storm with maximum winds of 83MPH. It is currently projected to make landfall around 25 miles north of Galesfe City around noon tomorrow, possibly as a category 2 or 3 storm. Right now there are several holes and weak spots in the storm which may reduce its overall strength as it approaches the shore.

    galesfe124ly0.jpg

Later on, the sun begins to set, and they have no idea what next morning will bring...

    To be continued...

Leech10, I see (surprisingly) that I use many of the stuff you use to improve looks of cities. Also, nice use of PEG's MTP.

Good CJ going here, along with Myon. 4.gif
