I love the trees... Can you give a direct link?

BTW, will the city have any futuristic buildings when you start developing?

Update 3, First view of the city.

    galesfe031lz6.jpg

This is the M-11 passage between the Republic of Myon and Zchielau, as well as one of the common storms that pass though all the time. Unlike the Myon-Imnatazüthken border, security is a lot higher here due to ongoing problems in Zchlielau.

    galesfe032gn6.jpg

M-11 passing though the Trent Fogt Memorial Park. (more on the park next update)

    galesfe032gn6.jpg

    galesfe034ps9.jpg

    Other parts of the park.

    galesfe035kw4.jpg

Now that the storm has gone away, here is the first clear view of part of the Trent Fogt Memorial Park, as well as the Burkidua High School.

    Comments:

Cjah, Jerebannus XVI, Fabiocb: Thanks for the comments!

Tracker: You will just have to wait and see what the city looks like, but good ideas!

purpledaddy: The trees are Cycledogg's, link can be found in sloppet's post, right before this update.

Sloppet: The region isn't finished yet, only the part where the city will be at is done so far.

defcon pilot: It depends on what you classify as futuristic buildings, but there is bound to be some someplace in the area. Link is in sloppet's 2nd post.

Update 4: Trent Fogt Memorial Park and more

    galesfe041mk8.jpg

The Trent Fogt Memorial Park was built in 0115AL to commemorate Trent Fogt, who served as mayor of Galesfe City from 0105AL to 0113AL, when he died in a car wreck on M-GCL, the main highway loop around the city, which also involved a truck, and 3 other cars. The accident was later found to be caused by wet roads. It is also named after the Trent Fogt who used to go to my school and was my friend during middle school, who also died in a car crash, just 2 weeks ago.

M-11 can be seen going from top to bottom in the picture, as well as M-GCL, which is in the upper right corner. Berkidua is the far south end of the subway lines, and also has its own bus sector, which is tied in with the rest of the city's network.

    galesfe042fy6.jpg

This is one of many walled communities, it is designed to protect against a flood of up to 15 feet above the ground level of the city, as well as several of many entrances to the vast underground network, where you can easily find a way to anyplace in the city, either by the subway, bus, and light rail lines, or the small commuter trams and moving walkways.

    galesfe043vv0.jpg

Another walled community, this one contains the only large building in the area, to find more like it you will have to travel much closer to downtown, as well as its own bus stop. (the first did, too)

    galesfe044ve7.jpg

The Burkidua School and Library, serving the the surrounding suburbs.

    galesfe045ly6.jpg

Just a random picture of the suburbs.

    galesfe046fl9.jpg

Some more suburbs, lower wealth this time. See if you can find the 2 buildings where I tested my editing on.

And now for the downtown preview:

    galesfe04xpd7.jpg

Galesfe Tower, the location of the SCJU Summit Myon 2006. You can also see another walled community, this one only includes one building, the grayish-white box found in the upper left.

    galesfe04yip8.jpg

The Myon Hotels Riverside building, a 45 story hotel tower featuring 2 indoor pools, its own restaurant, a large ground level outdoor plaza, and a 45th floor rooftop plaza. (only open in good weather) The north side offers great views of the Yanar River, some of which can be seen in the top right corner of the picture. M-11 DTR (downtown route, it becomes this just north of Trent Fogt Memorial Park) is visible on the upper right corner.

great man and as I tought TFM park is quite big and nice too, those avenues/boulevard cutting the park really adds a realism sense and the downtown previews are looking great.

    Update 5: Upper Faevza

    galesfe051fu2.jpg

To the west of Burkidua is the small suburb of Faevza, and parts of it, like right here, head up into the mountains on the south side of town.

    galesfe052sh4.jpg

    More mountain homes.

    galesfe053rr4.jpg

    galesfe054tp1.jpg

Just an average, ordinary mountain road.

    galesfe055ck5.jpg

One of many dams located in the mountains that supply a lot of the power to Galesfe City and the surrounding area.

    galesfe056bp8.jpg

Farther back on the lake behind the dam.

    Update 6: More Faevza

    galesfe061ns0.jpg

Another residential area, this time farther up the mountain. You can see the beginning of one of the streams that end up in the dam lake as well.

    galesfe062ly1.jpg

Faevza regional airport, a small airport that serves the surrounding areas for light planes, and helicopters.

    galesfe063oc0.jpg

    Overview of the airport

    galesfe069qf7.jpg

    galesfe0610gx7.jpg

A view from the dam, all the way down to a small industrial center. Looks like the dam has a bit of a weed problem right now...

Note: Due to overabundance of international news, only some topics have appeared in this paper.

Another note: This paper is now in the Muphridian language, not English. Main changes: 'tion' is now 'son'.

Myon is now a nuclear nation, and has been since 0095AL. This picture shows the first bomb tested by Myon, which took place on Pyán, Myon's moon.
