Sorta funny how it works. For some, the Holiday Break is a time to stop modding. For me, it's one of my only chances to mod (well not really modding. I'm modifying some BATs so the nightlights show up in the Mac version of the game.)

Ok... i created a little "Underground Central Artery" in my game w/ the Beta files. so far they're working great. i havn't had the alignment problem w/ the road lines that can be seen in the pictures above. They seem functional (i.e. they hook up to the subway lines) although i havn't tested them in simulation yet. in any case, this set is VERY, i mean VERY impressive. you've certainly outdone yourself here blahdy (and swamper).

If you would like to see photos let me know. i have taken plenty, but i am not going to post them unless you really want to see them. I just need to convert them from the .PNG to .JPG. so let me know. I'm not going to post them now because A) why not save some bandwith, B) there's no bugs or issues shown in them to see and C) i am too lazy to convert them to post right now, but i will later.

Again, happy birthday Blahdy. Swamper- Happy birthday to you as well... take a break and enjoy it, your work is appreciated here very much, there's not question that you've more than earned time off.

Thanks everyone 2.gif  Merry Christmas and best wishes to you all as well.

lrfox:  heh yea, I especially love it when i can finally see the sky without that huge ugly green pile of steel (old elevated central artery) visible from Haymarket/Fannuel Hall area. 4.gif

Would be certainly interested to see your pictures as well, feel free to post them when you have a chance to see how it looks in-game for you..

Swamper77: happy birthday as usual, it's interesting how two guys working on big dig are on same age and just 2 days apart when it comes to birthdays 4.gif  merry christmas and i hope that off-ramp is on your first list when you are back on modding in january 4.gif

Oh, btw, i worked on this last night on last final push for BATs before christmas, but i was too lazy to post yesterday.

So, here is another christmas gift for you that will ship with ramp A-CN:

    42.gif There's a lot of them.

How did you get to upload .EXE files?

blahdy: First off, Merry Christmas and Happy Birthday! Secondly, I'd like to congratulate you on a job well done with these. There's a reason your stuff is 'BAT of the Year', and it's showing here. Simply excellent. It may be a long way off, but I'm already looking forward to the next release.

Try switching to underground view (subway or water pipes), then back. That's the fix for a different bug, but it might work here as well.

It's the same bug indeed.  It's a Maxis bug that also affects Maxis' own transit lots as well.  The only fix to do that is to switch between underground and ground view.

not related to big dig, but i decided to abandon the previous sunken highway entrance idea; and instead, decided to do on-slope tunnel entrance instead:

how it looks so far... (work in progress still)

I based the tunnel portal design from Westerscheldetunnel in Netherlands' Zeeland area, and changed it around to my likings.

Also credit goes to buddybud for possibility of on-slope tunnel entrance.  His model implementation really helped me get an understanding of how to  setup the model dimensions for game use.

Well, well, well, looks like Blahdy added a few extra features:

    bigdigpu5.jpg

    Thanks!3.gif

    EDIT:

    Me: Blahdy, BLAHDY!!!

    Blahdy: What?

Me: THIS IS AN EMERGENCY!!! UNFORTUNATELY YOUR BIG DIG WON'T BE COVERING RAIL!!!

Also warn the NDEX!  Their Rail-subway transition is going to decline in popularity with the new NAM release!

Speaking of subways will this new network mess with the in-game subways?
