Good job, overall. I really like the area around the cathedral. But I think that the towers are too high and too closely packed in Downtown, and that the Old Town - quite nice, by the way - looks a bit 'dead' : it would be nice to add some flowers, fountains, roundabouts,...

The United Republic of Ankara was established in 1677 after a revaloution that abolished Ugarian control. After reverting to a Capitalisc government there was an economic boom In which the economy prospered. Currently in Ankara there are about 3 major cities: St. Augustine, Los Antos, and Burbank. In 1723 the ugarians crossed the border and rushed stright for Los Antos. There armies were stoped by a combination of the flooding of the St. Mark canal and the harshest winter since 1647. THe Ugarian troops starved to death and and peace was agreed. The peace lasted for 72 years until 1797 when the Ugarians invaded and headed towards the capital St. Augustine. After being stopped at the battle of Cambridge the Ankaraise armies flooded into Ugarian and seized the Capital Volonosky. Peace was agreed. After the war there was a very prosperes period called the industrial revalountion in which many many farmers moved to the cities to find new jobs. This period lasted untill 1822 when tensions raised over a newly discovered fishing ground on the sea border between the two countries. A blockade of Ugairan ports lasted one year before a pitched sea battle was fought near Fort Jay in which the Ugarians emerged victories. The sea border of Ugaria was restricted and Ankara used the money from the fishing groung to upgrade its armed forces. After another prosperes period in 1886 tensions rose yet again over newly discovered gold on Blackburn Island on the St. Mark River which forms the border between the countries. After the Ugarians massacred the mine workers sent by Ankara war broke out yet this time neither side had an advatage. The war lasted for 4 years in which 1.2 million Ankaraise soliders dies and 2.4 million Ugarians died. It came to be know as the First River War. A stalemate was agreed and the mines were divided up equaly umong the two nations. In 1892 the first skyscraper was built in St. Augustine and was named the Ankara Mutual Company. Then in 1912 the second river war erupted after a coupdetete put a power hungry dictator in power in Ugaria who violated the agreement of the two nations years before. A stalemate began in the middle of the island and trenchs were dug after another 3 years and the dictator was overthrown a peace was settled at the cost of 12.3 million Ankaraise and 14.7 million Ugarians. After the war the entire island was controlled and has been controlled ever since by Ankara.

I will continue with the history later Plese commentquote>

Great History of he region. Some members in NSWiki like me also have fun at making their own version of history in their own nations.

Well thak you everyone for the comments and i think i will continue the history now: After the war there was an econmical boom that lasted until 1944 when the value of the Ankar went down signifenitly resulting in economical collapse. The Ugarians saw this as a prime time to attack and seize the gold mines on blackburn island. All looked lost for Ankara until an oil feild was discovered in the mountains. The president diverted all resourses to the construction of an oil pipeline to the port of Cresapeake. When the oil line was finished it fueled the economy to drive the war machine of Ankara. After two more years of fighting the Ugarians were finaly stopped and an offensive was commenced. The Ugarians fought bitterly for the next 3 years until the Ankaraian armies stopped at the Vloustock River. A peace was settled and all the land conquered went to Ankara.

Thats all for now i will try to post some regional shots tonight.

i love the high rises and the grand station, the city seems very clean and indsustrious. it also seems a city of wealth, i just like the modern high rises and that castle of yours, it reminds me of london in the way it mixes modern & olden archetecture together. 5 thumbs up, oh wait, how is that possible? you deserve it.

Well i decided to take a break from the airport and started the farms.

Here you go

fdsgsh

As you can see i use Cjah's methot of farming.

afdgsdg

Here are some of the trees that seperate the fields.

gfdgfsdh

Here is a Field.

gffshsghg

And here is a local pond near some fields thats locals like to fish at.

hgshsfghsf

This is what happens when farms are at two different levels when they meet.

asgfsdh

This is acctualy one of the many castles built to protect the capital from the Ugarians and is one of the 12 remaining examples.

agdagfd

The castle from a different angle. Many tourists flock to this castle as it is one of the most clasic examples of an Ankarian castle and is in pristine condition.

As always comments are welcome.

Very good start! I don't understand the purpose of all those roads near the church and the city hall though. And your farms could use some diagonal roads. But apart from that they look very nice! 4.gif
