I like that Toys R Us Cat Person, I'll look at that concept.  I made one that looked like the first pic, but it just didn't come out well.  IKEA is a neat idea, but I already have so many ideas I'll never get them all done...

Simgoober, I love you work, I think your very talented and I really want to thank you for all the great things you have been doing lately. I do have a problem though it seems on most of your lots I am missing one section of parking lot. Here is a picture to show you what I mean....

Wow, Cat Person is watching out for me!  Thanks!.... If the box continues to show up for anyone, it could also mean you put the model or desc files in the wrong place.

 

I played with that Toys R Us picture for a few minutes..well, ok... more than a few...  Getting the bow modifier to wok on that front window was a learning experience, but it came out.

The sign was about the only thing that turned out well on the first version, so I was able to keep that. The only Texture applied is on the glass windows, and that may be temporary.  Any thoughts?  I won't be able to do any more work on this until tomarrow probably.  Also, the JPeg blurred abit. The blue wall doesn't have any distortions in it.

These are looking great, SG! Very authentic, and good attention to detail.

As I mentioned in the LEX, though, on your Best Buy, there's an issue with the logo. My suggestion for you, and anyone else re-creating national chains, is to visit www.brandsoftheworld.com and do a search for the company--there you'll find not only a gif of the logo by itself, but an EPS that you can scale and perhaps import directly into Gmax.

On the best buy sign, i did get a copy from their website.  I had to draw it in GMAX, as applying the logo as a texture doesn't look too good. Nitelites especially will wash it out.  I used the biggest, boldest font I had to start with, and tweaked it.  I think it's close enough.

 

I found a couple hours tonight to work on Toys R Us.  Who needs sleep?

 

All the shelves are full of toys!  Ready for all the girls and boys!

The Toys R Us is amazing, SG.  It's so cool how you can make a BAT look like an aerial photograph!  That lighting is perfect.

Ok, by popular demand!  Toys R Us will be uploaded in a few minutes.  I had some fun putting this lot together, and there are several little extras included.  Have fun with it!

I really will be quite busy the next few days, so won't be too active.  I have a sales meeting to attend in Dallas (actually I am conducting it), so will have practically no time to work on anything until maybe this weekend.  Of course, I am staying in a really neat hotel in Ft Worth, so at least I'll get some pictures...

Really great work on the Toys r us... I cant wait to see what you come up with next. I have a request I guess, but its just an idea... how about creating an Olive Garden, everyone enjoys a mid-priced dinner! I couldnt really find any pictures to offer you, sorry for that.

SG seeing all those awesome works of realism on the STEX I had to come here and pay my respect to your excellent work. I am happy you are making these because they look real and go very well in suburb living areas off avenues and such. I also want to thank you for allowing us to change the lots which is what I am doing now because I want all the parking lots to match. I must say I have to post pics of the results if you don't mind because in the game as a shopping plaza all put together they look absolutly amazing.

And I have to ask, do you mind if I transit enable of few of your lots to match your Large shopping center?
