Please limit your off-topic discussion here.  Anything goes, but keep it clean and unoffensive.  Moderators have the right to delete any thread that they find unacceptable.  Please do not spam or advertise here, there is a place for that.

Rules Update: Please note that the two post rule is in effect for all chat/virtual bars/tavern/cabins and other venues designed for chat on no particular topic. Any disregard of this rule shall be dealt with, first with a warning then a 'time out' for the thread involved. I'll let you imagine as to what that means.

Does this mean no commets of (religion,race,or politices) If so comments on the subject (What do you do ? Where you live) Off topic Forum toward last about religion should not me allowed. I for one am not one> I feel it wrong and should not be allowed. Please advise as I am new to site.

As Dirk said, "Anything goes, but keep it clean and unoffensive." It is NOT our desire to act as censors, but nor is this site here to be a forum for political or religious debate, which, apart from anything else, can become extremely divisive topics.

What makes this site almost unique, in my experience, is the fact that people are friendly, and not insulting to one another, and that we all have a common interest in our enjoyment of SC4. For this reason, our main aim is to ensure that nothing which threatens that harmony takes place on these boards.

I sent you a email on this subject as I do not beleive other people have right to here what I have to say. You can and hope you do let the other administors read it thought.
I did go to other parts of the fourm and found not only visiters, reg users but also the administors argueing with each other. Why can not all do what they say they will do and not worry about what others think of them.

I think what we are asking of you here is to use your best judgement. Again, the rules are simple enough because we don't want to specifically censor any topic; clean and unoffensive, I think these are clear indications of what is appropriate subject matter and what is not. Please use your best judgement... and even if you err, there are 5 admins and a mod to help you clean up

Again, we aren't here to censor anything, as Simjez said, we are here to keep the peace, and to not have topics divide members into warring factions. Such topics will be limited, and in extreme cases, removed altogether.

We believe the vast majority of members here have sound judgement as to what is and what is not appropriate. Cheers!

I like this site for how many members it has its has some of the nicest people thanks to the moderators for doing there job and also thanks to The resident ass he really is really the best mod out there even though he closes threads that i think shouldnt be closed in the longrun it makes the site better

For your first question:  Do you really need an answer to that?  EDIT:  after reading through some of your posts I am guessing the answer is yes.  I would strongly recommend that you don't use the f-bomb in any way, shape or form.

For your second question:  who knows when the next awards program will be held.  You'll just have to wait and see.

thisis for all that have the power to kick me out of here. until recently I didnt have a clue what spamming meant. I have to say that I am guilty of spamming the forums, but it was due to ignorance and I want to appologize and say in my deffence that it will not happen again now that I know what I was doing wrong.

Sorry, I was supposed to mean everyone's usernames. That would be bad because if someone registered as Dirk, then copied his avatar, then everyone would think that the fake Dirk is the real Dirk. Then the fake Dirk might tell the moderators to do something bad, and they might do it.

Just to let you know, this thread is intended primarily for a discussion of the rules that govern the off-topic forum, not the actual topics themselves.

In answer to your question though, it's all about the public interest.  If the topic is interesting, it will survive for a while.  If it isn't, then it's going to die off pretty soon.

Hello patriots_1228. I am a newer member too so I did not know anything about the two post rule until recently. Basically it means after replying to certain threads you must wait until two people post after until you post again. Let me demonstrate, pretend you are person A...

1. Person A posts

2. Person B posts

3. Person C posts (Normally you could reply now, but under the two post rule you can not.)

4. Person A posts (Now you can reply again under the two post rule.)

The only other place I know with this rule in use is forum games, I hope you understand now.
