Matsumoto Castle is the one of the four national treasure castles in Japan.

1504 Built in the name of Fukashi Castle.
1582 Changed the name into Matsumoto Castle.
1597 The present main tower(Tensyukaku) was built.
1936 It was Specified as the Japanese national treasure.
