Black Hole Water Works  1.0

About This File

Mr. Black is back and at it again! While drilling in a far off region he accidentally struck an underwater spring. He quickly realized the possibilities, and soon after a meeting with his engineers, he started work on the Black Hole Water Works.

This pump and treatment facility uses the patented Black Hole drill to dig to the spring, then cap the hole, and connect the pump and filter. The heat from the core helps purify the water. Mr. Black has figured out how to diminish the red glow at night, but it is still there, and the water tends to glow a little at night, but that is only the purification at work.

Plop cost - $7000

Bulldoze - $5000

Maintenence - $1000

Water pumped - 2000000

Water cleaned - 1000000

There is also a small air purification around the plant (from the steam plume), and a park effect (apparantly joggers like to use the dirt track for their morning run). It is a 5x5 radical lot for cleaning up dirty cities as well as maintaining high wealth areas.

UPDATE - The problem is fixed. I added an extra zero to one of the stats and it made the lot go haywire after it was bulldozed. I have tested it in three dirty cities, and it worked fine with no ill-effects. If there are any other bugs, let me know and I will fix them.

I hope you like the latest Black Hole design, please rate, comment, and as always.......enjoy!

Very original idea. I don't have a problem keeping out the pollution in my cities, more like quite the opposite, but this was a very novel idea.

Thanks everyone, the power and air purifier is the next installment. MrBisonm - all the comments on my thread said they liked the color, and a radical lot needs a radical color set. Thanks again and enjoy!

gshmails is back doing what he does best! Love this and will definitely find a space for it. OK it's a bit colourful for a farming area, so what. I like colour and is only a game after all!

I think this would be a great lot for the SimMars project!! I'd suggest that you contact Ms.Gourou to make it an official SimMars Lot!! ^_^ Though a bit of glass framing will make it look more "Mars-like".

Wow!!! This is very cool. Its very creative and I love your description. Now this is the way all water works should be. This is much more interesting then plain old water purification plants. Excellent Job. I give it a 10+++

I never thought to see what would happen after it was bulldozed. Moviesoldier is right, if you demolish the lot, it will pollute the entire map. I am going to figure this out tonight, and see what can be done.

But, it makes sense, you cannot demolish the hole, so demolishing the cap will release pollution into the atmosphere. Just a thought, but I will try to fix the problem, thanks for bringing it to my attention.
