About This File

This is the Flatiron Building from New York.

My building is a landmark and has the size 5x4. It cost 150.000$ and has a monthly cost from 110

Your English is fine! Nice building. Wasn't it included in Sc3? It looks so familiar.

@ simwario Thanks! I don't know, but it could be. @ bluob No not the first, but it's the first one which is bigger than 50m and I hope that this looks really.

i too got it from that German site..looks good in game...pretty reallistic...but only one problem i found was that the building over laps the carpark texures on the base...maybe if it was done on a bigger lots or do away with the carpark.

Sorry, it was not the tallest building in New York back then. The tallest building 1902 was Park Row, completed 1899 and 424 foot tall. Flatiron is a mere 307 foot tall...

...this model also needs more work! The shape of the plan is wrong, the right corner on the back should be 90 degrees! The bay windows, the one-story extension on the "tip" and lots of other details are also missing...

@ odd from sweden Perhaps you are right, I don't know. Look at the top of this site. I edited the descrption in "second tallest". Anyway I read this somewhere on a site, that this building was the tallest building in N.Y.

i don't know if it is possible or even noticable in pictures, but the real flatiron building is very detailed on its facades, and that doesnt seem to be included, i think it is excellent otherwise, 10.

Thank you for all of your votes and comments. I wrote "I say sorry for my bad English" because I'm German and I'm first in the 8th class. So I learn English since 3 years and I couldn't believe that I speak English fine.

Regardless of how accurate the building is, it looks great. Good job. Question for BATers and Lot Creators out there: would it be possible to make two lots (a 1x1 with the corner of the building and a 2x2 with the rest) that stacked next to each other to make this building work on corners?

BTW, I might be able to shed some light on the tallest building question. Perhaps there was some miscommunication, because Atlanta's Flatiron building, built in 1897, was the tallest building in Atlanta at its completion. The Flatiron in NYC is nearly identical to Atlanta's.
