About This File

Since being built in 1987, One Liberty Place in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania has become the state's largest skyscraper towering at 288 m (945 ft.).

This is also my first BAT building, so go lightly :). Note that this building is in a major urban area, and thus does not really have a detailed lot to go with it in real life. I also could not find many pictures at all of the street level, so I had to make due with what I had. Thanks goes out to all the people making BAT tutorials and skyscrapers.com! For your pleasure, growable and ploppable (with jobs) versions are available.

Instructions:

Extract the file in the main zip file (.model file), and then extract the contents of ploppable.zip and/or growable.zip (whichever you prefer) to your Plugins directory. Enjoy and comments welcome!

Jobs: $$CO 2176

Ploppable Price:

Building is good, but the textures could use a little work. Find a more reflective-looking texture, and I will download this!

It looks good, but it is far from an exact replica of the real thing and textures need yo be better.

Add note:Giving someone a OK is wrong when you have never walked in the foot steps of BAT.

Not bad. I do sort of agree about the textures... they could use a bit of improvement but overall it looks like a very good final product. Nice work.

It looks great to me, I know how difficult gmax is, so for your first, this is good!

Hmm... not a bad effort. There are a few things though... First, its slightly larger than it should be. Scale it down a few percent if you ever do an update. That would allow more to be done with a 4x4 lot as well. Further, a slightly lighter and more reflective texture would help a lot.

A note to anyone else who reads this, the preview picture isn't that good. The textures are better than they appear there, though they do need some work.

Hurray Philly!!!!! One of my favorite real skyscrapers can now grace the skylines in my games. Thanks and I look forward to seeing the sibling soon. Ten stars.

This is an awesome job for your first BAT. Kind of funny how someone that hasn't posted a BAT can say that this sucks, unless it's the wind blowing through the emptiness between their ears.

For a first building this is great, as others have said the textures do need some work so i will await your update, and having $$ jobs is very useful, thanks

Thanks for the compliments guys. Let me address a few things. Regarding the textures, most of them were actually taken from the building themself (and then modified by me) and it surprises me that people will comment based on a jpg. Also while exporting, for whatever reason,

gmax made them darker than they actually are. Now about the size, let me compare it to other buildings people designed. OLP: 325m (288 actual) - 1.128 ratio. WTC: 525m (417 actual) - 1.258 ratio. Sear's Tower: 521m (442m actual) - 1.178 ratio. Based on these, I think the size is sufficient for OLP.

VERY BEAUTIFUL!! Check out my new city journal on New DFW. I'll be posting pics whenever I get a wild hair. I'll give you a 9 since there is no such thing as perfect :-) I would add reflection to the glass and maybe lighten up the blue.

A wonderful effort. Yet I do wonder if there is some way via the gmax program to include reflections of nearby buildings. In Boston there is a building that includes in its design the refllection of buildings across the street.
