About This File

I have been looking around for something that would be give me a huge map and the largest I found was 27 X 17 large city tiles.

This is region map that is 27 X 27 large city tiles and should be mainly used for making a county sized region.

You can edit the config.bmp to whatever you like if you want smaller suburbs or whatnot.

I know it's blank and flat and once I can figure out how to make a SC4M file for this region I will update it but so far I haven't found any tutorials to do so.

There are no screenshots b/c there is no way to show the entire thing in SimCity 4

This is the readme included but is posted below.

You will need to put the Tabula Rasa folder in your Regions folder

/My Documents/SimCity 4/Regions

IMPORTANT - Rename the folder to whatever you like BEFORE you start SimCity 4 or else if you make

copies of the folder it will give the same region name when you load a new region.

Another workaround is to simply delete the regions dll located in the folder then rename the

folder to whatever you like and should solve the issue when you try to load the region.

You will need to place the Tropical Climate Mod Folder in your plugins folder for SimCity 4

and NOT in the documents plugin folder or it won't work.

/Program Files (x86)/Electronic Arts/simcity4/plugins

Note : The Electronic Arts folder maybe called Maxis but this is the version I have

You will need the Tropical Climate Mod Folder to render grass when you start a new city. If you

don't then it will be bare scrubland.

Here are some additional climate mods

LAST NOTE : This is for the Rush Hour version or Deluxe Edition of SimCity 4. Not sure if it

will work for the standalone version.

Update : If you have this map, delete it. I rendered it with a greyscale image and the sheer number of SC4 files (729) causes the game to crash.

Will try again with a new map size with a proper render.

The game (and Terraformer) has a hard time once you get beyond about 20 x 20 (or 400 large tiles spread out however--e.g. 40 x 10, etc.). Given that 512 is the next binary number up, I'd say that's probably the absolute limit. √512 = 22.627 (approx.), so 22 x 22 would really be it for square regions. That 27x17 region you saw would be within those limits (459 tiles).

Got your idea. Thank you for your effort, but SC4 is a very old game; it will certainly crash even more often...
