Welcome to the modern age of "clean"er coal power. With the advent of new technologies and the desire of Sims for cleaner air, coal fired power plants have been required to clean up their act. This modern coal power plant sports an 80% reduction in air pollution emissions while providing twice the power as compared to the basic Maxis Coal Power Plant. The only downside is a significant increase in solid waste production. Due to the addition of emissions control equipment and increased capacity the capital cost for the plant is substantially higher.
