[NOTE: These are simple application examples that show various lots right next to each other. They were grown randomly and without taking care of the surroundings. In a real application, you would probably add free areas, forest lots, park trails, community gardens etc. inbetween the lots. These screenshots are only meant to show the variety that can be achieved.]

INTRODUCTION

For the final part of JBSimio's RUSA series re-lots, I give you no less than 45 multi-building lots of his Stratton Apartments BAT collection - two shapes, each in three colours, and now on more lots than you can shake a stick at! This should enable you to lay down entire neighborhoods in a snap, and all that with a uniform look, but then again without too obvious repetition: the general style and look repeats, but colours and details differ from lot to lot.

Since the lot sizes (4x5, 5x4 and 5x5 tiles and medium density only) are the same as the last two times, you can now zone areas and either make them historical or allow them to get overgrown by previously released medium-wealth lots like the Arbor Woods Multi-Building Lots and, eventually, the high-wealth Evergreen Hills Multi-Building Lots.

Hence, with this upload the 'large lot' concept for the American tilesets is complete as far as medium density in the tilesets Chicago and New York is concerned.

STATS & FEATURES

There are two basic building models, a larger one with a center entry and a smaller one with side entries. The lots come with different building combinations, and for each building combination there are three lots: 4x5, 5x4 and 5x5 tiles in size.

In case the detailed stats are not of much use to you, rest assured that they have been tweaked carefully to fit right in without any undesired side effects. Neither do you need to fear a sudden surge in garbage production, nor will these lots act like secret cheats.

Further features:

  • 45 lots included
  • Each lot holds 2-3 buildings in a wide variety of arrangements
  • 1-2 building types on each lot
  • All buildings on a lot are always colour-matched, therefore each arrangement exists in all three colours
  • Extensive use of shaded props (credits to Cycledogg) for better realism
  • Slope-friendly: thanks to the great custom foundations made by JBSimio, the lots will look rather good on modest slopes; you will hardly see ugly lot foundations or retaining walls if you zone on halfways gently sloping terrain
  • BTE-compatible: All additional occupant groups that are used to count towards special BSC reward lots have been copied into these additional lots as well ("BSC Tracking Enabled")

DEPENDENCIES

You will need:

THANKS AND CREDITS

Special credits to geoffhaw, keeper of the BSC texture index! I stumbled upon a bug affecting some BSC textures that had been made by him ages ago, and he quickly reacted by fixing these textures and sending them back to me! He has also given his permission to include the textures with my uploads for the time being, until the next BSC Mega Pack is ready. Thanks a bunch for everything!

The rest is the same procedure as last time: I'd like to express my gratitude to JBSimio for his superb BATs, ArkenbergeJoe for the 'large lot concept' and Cycledogg and SimGoober for the beautiful props - not to forget various BSC members for the nice textures.

ENJOY!
