About This File
Hello Simtropolis,
Well it is raining outside and I am bored, so I made this map. First, I made a greyscale map with Photoshop. Then I imported it to SC4 Terraformer and made necessary corrections and named it Islands of Lanka.
There are few rivers as well as mountainous areas in the main island. Also, there are 4 islands: 1 huge island and 3 small ones. The map size is 1025x1025.
There are 64 city tiles in total:
10 large tiles;
14 medium tiles;
40 small tiles.
To install this map you have to have SC4 Terraformer or SC4 Mapper.
SC4 Teraformer instructions:
1. Create a new region file in your X:\Documents and Settings\Username\My Documents\SimCity 4\Regions
2. Copy the config.bmp that I provided into your region file (you can change config.bmp file, if you don't like it)
3. Open the new region file with SC4 Terraformer
4. Click on Import Image in the Global Tools section and then browse for the Lanka.SC4M file
5. Once the file is imported click File->Save or CTRL+S (after this the region will be saved in your new region file)
6. Now turn on SC4 and enter & save each city to get rid of SC4 Terraformer colors
SC4 Mapper instructions:
1. If you don't have SC4Mapper, then download it from https://www.sc4devotion.com/csxlex/lex_filedesc.php?lotGET=179
2. Unzip this file
3. Run SC4 Mapper & click Create Region function
4. Choose Lanka.SC4M from the location, where you unzipped the file
5. Click on Save Region function and give a name to the region
6. Quit SC4 Mapper program
7. Now turn on SC4 and enter & save each city to get rid of SC4 Terraformer colors
