About This File

Located in Seattle Washington the Space Needle was built for the 1962 Worlds Fair as a center peice. Standing at 184 meters it has become Seattles identifying landmark and one of the worlds most beautiful pieces of architecture.

A huge thanks to Rubik for the night lighting and help ansewering alot of my questions. Also thanks to other simtrop members for ansewering questions.

Enjoy

The recreation is wonderful, except in one detail... It's about twice the size it should be...

i should have downloaded before i rated and commented.. this needs to be rescaled hardcore!.. after seeing it in the game it stands equal to the Seafirst center and the Space Needle is exactly 100meters smaller then the seafirst ... so in other words this has to be scaled down probably by about 20%

Acctually Ed Diaz its seafirst that is off. Maxis failed to follow there own rules and stretch the vertical on that building. But the space needle is off alittle aswell. I guess there both off. I did do alot of checking though and i tried to get the height to be more inline with smith center

I haven't downloaded it yet, but it looks great. I've always wondered why Maxis din't put the Space Needle (and the Eiffel Tower) in the game.

im from seattle and i say nice job. i give it a 9 only because i have seen the space needle a million times - making me a pretty tough critic on this one. space needle kicks the crap outa the canads and the frenchies twig towers any day!

This is a really cool bat model. Could you please consider the Spinnaker Tower in Portsmouth. Uk for bat moddeling. Its 170m tall and looks really cool. http://www.portsmouthand.co.uk/home/tower.cfm# http://www.lusas.com/case/civil/spinnaker_tower.html

It looks wonderful! I grew up in the Seattle area. This will probably end up one of my most favorite buildings from the STEX. Question: Can you make it spin??

Great job! Color is a little off; the outer ring should be white too (although originally it was orange). But that is minor.... I worked under it for years and you have done an awesome job! Thank you!!!!!

Nice job on the replica (maybe the scaling could be improved compared to the Seafirst Tower, but overall it's an A effort). I could deduct for the upper ring color scheme, but it could be repainted at anytime in reality. I like how you added the new glass lobby for accuracy!!
