About This File

The 63-floor residential tower in the Dubai Marina (UAE) has a height of 296 m. The construction of the tower started in 2005. Completion date was February 2008. The tower is part of the "Tallest Block on Earth" in Dubai Marina. It stand on the beachfront between "Princess Tower" and the "Mariott Hotel Dubai Marina" (aka "The Harbour Hotel & Residence"). Thanks to Mister Foley and his textures.

Textures needs work and no bland gmax colors. Needs more detail and model EVERY SINGLE DEATIL in your reference picture. It helps just like SimHottdoy told me. Otherwise this would a fine upload! 3/5.

There is also a glaringly obvious lighting rig problem. You should download and install a modified lighting rig for the BAT that allows for such tall buildings. If you don't know what I mean, just look at the right side of the building and see how the shadows are only displayed up to a certain height.

You can also notice a line running across the front wall, another sign of the lighting rig problem. Please open a BAT thread so that people can help you, give some advice and point you to tutorials and stuff like that modified lighting rig I mentioned. Then you can avoid and fix these problems prior to uploading.

These buildings from Dubai are beautiful in the simulator. In real life though Dubai built all these wonderful buildings only to have them empty because of the world economy. It's really a shame considering the time and money that the real world designers and arcitects spent just on the design of this and other buildings. I gave you 5 out of 5 for your reproduction of the real building.
