About This File

The No Name Maps Team presents the Grand Mountains.

The team is composed of five members -- Un1, Hamish, Patricius Maximus, Archean, and Deathtopumpkins.

This is ourthird upload, and we are working on more. To see previews of our work, check out the NNM Showcase.

The Grand Mountains are a relatively short mountain range, up to only about 1000 meters in elevation, and have several river valleys cutting through, with some flat areas suitable for building cities, and along the northern edge of the map is a coastline, with surrounding low-lying areas also suitable for building a city on. Feel free to use the in-game terraforming tools to smooth out any undesired rough edges.

This is a .SC4M file, and as such needs the SC4Terraformer as a dependency.

To use this map, create a new region in your regions folder, and drop the included config file in it. Then open the region in the Terraformer, and import the .SC4M file. Then save the region. It is now ready to use in-game. The included JPEGs do not need to be placed in the region folder.

Enjoy!

mkaustin: Yes, I have it working correctly in my game. I fully rendered it to take that picture. I can re-check it with just the stuff in the zip file first. btw, I'm not exactly sure how it works with SC4Mapper, as I use Terraformer. I'll get back to you in a little while.

Thanks. As far as rendering a .sc4m file, SC4Mapper and TerraFormer do not differ. I wonder if maybe the file corrupted in the upload. It could be my system, but I have never had any problem before and have uploaded and downloaded MANY sc4m files. I'll try again later. The photos look good.

Thanks. I did not know that. I'll check the download again myself. It very well might be corrupted. I don't think it's your computer or game's fault. Like I said, I'll look into it.

Good looking region, trouble is it doesn't render correctly. I tried SC4Mapper and Terraformer with the same result. Strangely when it is first loaded into either of the above a slpash screen from Terraformer v1.0.

DTP Again. I'm going to lock the map until I get home this afternoon and see why it isn't working for anyone. I hope I can get it sorted out.
