I know I asked for some ideas and I think in the next holidays (February) I will create some of the regions you suggested.

But now I have created my home region. It is the federal state of Saxony. It has about 4.2 million inhabitants and an area of 18000 km2.

Saxony will be the new High tech region of Germany, it has some great universities and some nice towns, for example Dresden, our capital.

I hope you have a lot of fun with this region and if you want I will create a bigger, more detailed map of this region.

Looks very playable from this point of view. I'll keep it for mind for the techie cities. I wouldn't mind seeing a larger region like you hinted at. :)

cool! maybe you could make Muenchen or the Main river from Frankfurt to Aschaffenburg for me? :D i spent a week with a family there last summer

A detailes version would be very much appreciated! I live in Leipzig and would love to see a more detailed one, espacially with more mountains and rivers like Parthe or Plei
