About This File

Thiswas my first attempt at transfering an actual pencil & colored inkhand-drawn map to SC4.  It's not quite exact, but prettyclose.  The island is the remnants of a long dead volcanic craterthat has eroded away over the eons to it's current form as aring-shaped island.  Broken Wheel Isle features a hidden bay whichis the remains of the ancient crater, accessable only through a narrowsplit in the near circular island, sheltered by a ring of mountains andhills.  Map is very playable and you can have a variety ofcity/town/village types.  Map size is 1537x1537 and has 13 lg, 65md, 62 sm for a total of 140 city tiles.  Comments and feedbackare welcomed.  Enjoy the map.

READ THIS BEFORE RENDERING!!!
This isa regular map, no height mod needed to render.  If you are using aheight mod, remove it from your plugins before rendering this map or itwill not render properly by raising the elevations to extremeheights.  For more info on this, you can go here and if that doesn't answer any lingering questions, feel free to PM me with those questions.

Comments and feedback are welcomed.  Enjoy the map.

This is NICE !!!!!! Thats a realistic "fantasy island" map Blade - and the geographical/topographical description deserves an editorship on National Geographic hehehheehehehe

Looks Pretty Good almost like a world styled map which are the ones I like. 140 cities total ().() is great. Means longer to build up the region. Downloading it now ill leave another after I check it out.

Actually, I mis-counted the city tiles. It's actually 144-147 city tiles. And thanks for the encouraging comments and I'm glad you two like this map. I've got this thing for volcanos these days.....lol.

That looks alot like an island off of the coast of Greece, called Santorini. Beautiful island, though, the mountains were RIGHT off the coast, and the cities were amazing. Great map, but I wont download because it is a pain to render and all that other crap. Good job!

The isle probably looks like Santorini because I recently watched a program on tv about the volcanic eruption there that nearly wiped out the human race 74,000 years ago, so scientists believe....

Rendered the map took about 20-25min with my p4 630 gf 6600gt. Well worth the rendering time. Map is top notch its like a island styled world. Only thing ima change is the mid isle make it even level so i can use it as a main hub. Great job though.

I like this map. I give it a 10/10 for style, originality and the wonderful description. Do you have any more maps like this coming down the pipe?

During the period ST was offline, I began building on Broken wheel and so far it's been a very playable map. Thanks again for a great map in which to build upon.

Looks like that time I had nice wheels on my car and ran over a huge pothole. This is great. Must take hours! 10/10

Looks similar to Santorini, but at the same time doesn't. Excellent map.
