About This File

New York City is full of these type of buildings. In fact they are often featured on shows such as Seinfeld. Upstairs are the impossible to afford condos that our sitcom heros, most of whom barely work, dwell in. Below are an array of funky shops (signs included) and small restaurants. This lot features the diner "Monk's" which is often seen on Seinfeld. Monk's is a small, corner diner which specializes in low-quality Americana-style food. This lot has a bunch of little details (cool rooftop gardens, doorman, vendors/vending machines, hot tub dwellers, sitting areas and more) that give it a nice neighborhood feeling.

**The last version of this lot had some technical problems & couldn't be run properly.....sorry 'bout that. This final version contains game descriptions (thanks grandpa al & rapheal ninja!). This update includes a lot more detail, better NYC-esque mainbuildings (thanks for the idea grenade87) and is also a ploppable Residential lot (credit to raphaelninja for the ploppable RCI's). This lot houses over 2,000 sims. I realize that this seems like a lot of people, but when you consider the number of possible condos/apartments this population seems more reasonable. Also, there is currently no way in which to combine jobs into a residential lot, so I consider some of the lot's population to be employees.

you have to zone a small patch of high density residential land first and then plop the building on the zone. it will keep it from decaying/losing sims. you should think through potential problems like this before you give undeserving people bad ratings. the 3 you gave me is a fu#$ing insult.

Sorry, but Im going to stand firm on my score. I went back and made sure it was zoned, and boom down it went again. I think if there are certain conditions that the city must be in for to sustain it, then you should advert that.

Btw, thats only a score on function. Not looks. Looks it very good. so basically -7 for not working out.

You have to make sure you have all the landmarks downloaded along with the lot editor. The forum has a thread that talks about it.

Great bld! But, a comment re/ this BAT and other talented peeps: when simple instructions like zone land first or necesary dependancies not being listed on a text file mean that the BAT doesn't work, that's a crying shame. Deleting the file is a helluva lot easier than fixing things.

It looks good, but totally nonsense because it is just an ordinary landmark. 3/10.:read: . How about tre to revise it.

as soul_doubt fell off the face of the planet and no matter what this lot has never worked for me. After the zoning and stuff. Just too many problems to deal with.
