About This File

Koyuk, Alaska

General Information

Koyuk, AK is locted on the eastern edge of the Seward Penninsula, inwestern Alaska. It is east of the town of Nome, and is very close tothe famous Iditarod Trail, a dog sled trail that goes from Anchorage,AK to Nome, AK. The trail runs across the eastern portion of this map, over Norton Bay (The body of water in this map). The bay is frozen atthe time that the Iditarod dog sled race is run in March every year.

In real life, Koyuk is a beautiful landscape, and one would imaginethat it is essentially untouched by development. There aren't any pavedroads leading in and out of this area.

In the game, Koyuk is a map just waiting to be developed. A majorcoastal city or two, a ski resort town in the mountains, a smallvillage on the bay or the river; it's all possible on this map.

It issmaller than exact scale, to fit in more terrain features. If youchoose, you can make your own config file for this region.

It's a really great map, I decided to use it my new CJ, Everon :) Although, I had some problems with rendering it, I had to copy and paste whole grayscale image to new file to get it work. Before that, when I was choosing the file by pressing Ctrl+Alt+Shif+R nothing was happening.
