About This File

Millennium Park Visitor Centre

In 1999 the city council obtained a large lottery grant to enable them to refurbish the city's 100 year old Victoria Park in time for the millennium celebrations.

Following the refurbishment the park was predictably renamed 'Millennium Park' and this vistor centre was built to provide tourist with information about the park, the city and the surrounding areas.

As the visitor centre provides an educational service of sorts (telling people about the history and culture of the city) I've given this building similar values to a small library.
