Metcalfe Federal Building Chicago  1.0

About This File

The Metcalfe Federal Building is in the south loop area of downtown chicago on Federal, Van Buren, and Jackson streets I believe.  This building sits on a 6x2 lot with growable CO$$ version at 1800 jobs which only grows in the Houston tileset and a CO$$ ploppable version at 1500 jobs.  I was very happy with the way the textures came out on this one.  This building will act as a good "filler" between the bigger towers.  Hope everyone enjoys and let me know what you think.

SimCity NEEDS more buildings like this. SC4 really lacks the International styled building. Come on people! Boxes aren't hard to make!!! 6+21313/10.

Nice. I'm sure with a few minor changes you could make other buildings in the federal complex there because they are all very similar. I worked in the Dirksen building for awhile. It would be cool if you could model or get someone to model the Calder sculpture, too.

The IBM Building would be another good one like this, you could probably use the exact same texture. Kluzinski building too. There definitely needs to be more buildings like this on the STEX, every tower can't be spectacular, some have to make the other ones looks spectacular.

This is an outstanding building! Almost all of the high rises on this BAT exchange are huge towering edifices and there are so few medium-rise buildings. Cities don't go from townhouses to Messeturms overnight. Keep up the good work!!

Wesman what are you talking about?? lol dandelion buliding? Pepsi38.. it might be located in chicago but its definatly not Chicago style archictecture, its from the time period the "houston" tileset was supposed to represent.

I am all for these smaller towers. Looks like maybe a bit of detail work needs to be done on this one, but I am trying it anyway in case it is just the pics above that look slightly unfinished.

Great job - looks just like the real thing! Love to see more realistic buildings from Chicago - also the Calder idea should be done!
