A Cities in Motion 1 map based on a fictional region centred around three cities located at or in the vicinity of a large river delta. Three cities (Jakobsdam, Thort, and Vreda) at Thine delta rely on your expertise: create an efficient public transport system for the whole region. Author: unknown Minimum starting year: 1995 Size: XL (1280×1280) Timeline: Yes Note: Unfortunately, the map does not feature custom labels. All buildings and roads bear default names, which means identifying which city is which (e.g. where is Jakobsdam and where Vreda) is impossible. Disclaimer This map was not created by me. cities in motion [CiM] Brasilia (768×768)
Cyclone Boom commented on CiM Archiver's file in Cities in Motion's CiM Maps
Just popping in to say thanks @CiM Archiver for creating this club and sharing these CiM files in good faith. As Cori said, you've gone about this in the best way possible. Here at ST we're open to city builders of all shapes and sizes. Due to the mechanics of the board software, it might be sometimes files appear in other feeds and mistaken for SC4 ones. This isn't anything you've done wrong though! In case it helps, I've made the "cities in motion" tag a blue prefix, so it stands out more beside the title. Thanks again! -

It absolutely is the best solution. Simtropolis does indeed support any sort of City Building or World Building (or variations thereof). I suspect what might be happening is in the site's New Content style feeds on other pages it doesn't distinguish between any of the genres nor clubs and so it might be when browsing the STEX (which is predominately SC4 items) it shows up with them. That, ofc, is nothing you can change. You've done all the right things. -

Do you have any suggestions, then? I really do not know what else should I do. I've added appropriate tags, the very first thing in the file's name is an acronym of a non-SC game, the description outright states it is not a SimCity 4 file, there are screenshots that clearly do not look like SC4, and there is a banner right above the file that clearly says "Cities in Motion". What is there to guess? I suppose I shouldn't be using a website primarily meant for SimCity-related content to archive Cities in Motion content. However, all (English) CiM sites have went offline years ago and considering the fact Simtropolis already hosts content for non-SC games like Banished or Rollercoaster Tycoon, this seemed like the best solution to me. -

After your first post saying this, they did indeed rename the file with a [CiM] prefix to indicate it's for the game Cities in Motion. How is it seeming to appear as SC4? That's a real question. I don't understand why files in a club made specifically for Cities in Motion are confusing. They even clearly state: " A Cities in Motion 1 map based on Brasília, the capital of Brazil." as the first line of their description. Plus they have a "cities in motion" tag included. I'm not sure what else you could possibly expect the club owner to do. -Cori (doing the admin thing) -

A Cities in Motion 1 map very loosely based on Toronto, Canada. Toronto, the capital of Ontario, Canada, one of the most diversified cities in the world, a place to relax, fun, party, and much, much more. Author: unknown Minimum starting year: 2020 Size: XL (1280×1280) Timeline: No Note: While based on Toronto, this map diverges from its real-world counterpart heavily and takes numerous creative liberties. Most locations are represented symbolically, bodies of water are extremely exaggerated and geography generally is inaccurate. If you value accuracy and realism, this map most likely is not for you. A Cities in Motion 1 map based on Brasília, the capital of Brazil. Brasilia is the capital of Brazil, built in 1960 by President Juscelino Kubitschek. The city is located in central-west of the country. It has several parks, which helps to maintain temperature and humidity, since the local climate is hot and dry. The Sarah Kubitschek Park is located in the center of Brasilia and has 4.2 km2. It is the largest urban park in the world, surpassing even Central Park in New York. The Brasilia National Park is located north of the city and helps keep moisture. The city has an extensive road network, but it faces congestion. There is an urgent need for an efficient public transport system. Author: unknown Minimum starting year: 1920 Size: Medium (768×768) Timeline: Yes Disclaimer This map was not created by me.
