Hello ! I'm currently designing and creating a city building game (sort of), see here: I'm excited to talk with different members of this community to help me steer the project in an interesting direction. I hope that your insight could help me, as I often face big design walls which are hard to surmount. An recent example was how to do the lot layout, which ended up not that great (see video), but I feel that by talking with city building veterans, I could have done better. Anyway, glad to have discovered this forum.

I've heard that many of these "works of art" also serve to money laundering. This video is very true in my view, because I always thought this kind of art extremely useless and even a 3 year old child can do better.

Would anyone want to start a Venus Project BAT team with me? The whole point would be to re-create the Venus Project in SimCity. I can make the buildings.

SurPLUS - SimPeg LUminary Society There comes a time when all good things must come to an end, however in the great circle of life, sometimes when we get to the end - we start at the beginning again... or in the time honoured tradition of Simcolumbus, we grip tightly to the yellow arrow and sail over the edge into uncharted territory. Whether we fall into the abyss to be devoured by garbage eating dragons, or pass safely to the 'other side' is all part of the adventure. Here at least we can provide a (more or less) safe haven, a resting point on our journey, for those of us mercilessly cast adrift by the harsh realities of data corruption and server implosion. May we stop a while, and reflect... raise a glass... (down a glass)... and reminisce on good times past. ----- Right enough of that mushy stuff... pass the beer and nuts. Especially the nuts.
