After taking almost two weeks away from Nextown, Mayor Xavier Calhoun returned to upgrade living conditions, rezone land, and build a casino (of course). By balancing the budget of "Nextown" I was able to view the structure/dynamic of the city. Using techniques learned from "Clifton Peak" I was able to grow Nextown into a more dynamic and efficient city.

"Clifton Peak" has reached a peak, lol. Today I was able to create networks of travel for my Sims that were "highly effective". Whole neighborhoods travelled to specific destinations for work. Meaning that placement of zones are highly effective. Continuing this strategy with other cities is sure to produce similar results. The next stop for "Clifton Peak's" progress....a "Space-Port"....to be continued

So now we have a Casion!. The "H. E. Fontaine" is home to many great betting games. However, we cannot play any of them because it's just a building in a simulated virtual city I built lol. With, a population of 500+ now, Clifton Peak is headed to being a great city to practice strategies for raising "Mayor Approval" rating. In this last session I began building bus stops, as well as making the city more accessible for Sims that currently live there (instead of zoning for new residents). My last goal for Clifton Peak for the next session will be to study the effectiveness of my commercial zoning strategies. Enjoy the screenshot!

After calculating the ratio of citizens to jobs, I decided to focus on increasing the population. This allowed me to focus on aspects of my city that did not include growth in job related aspects (industrial/commercial zoning). I am attempting to match the amount of residents in my city with the amount of jobs provided. Enjoy this screenshot of the progress I made today.

This journal entry is to catalogue my progress with the Industry city of "Clifton Peak" (Mayor: Dexter Punter). My focus is to create a city based in Industry for the region. The region currently holds much commercial potential, but lacks industry that allows sims to truly flex their engineering greatness. This city offers great residential living for this who work inside the city, but holds strict to providing engineering products to the region. So residential zoning only matches the needs of the industry jobs.

Finally, I finished rebuilding my streaming setup. I played some SimCity 4 today for about 4 hours. I will be sharing updates today!

This is the work I completed to day in Nextown. I had to delete my SpacePort because it cost ALOT monthly that I simply cant afford. So I went back to the drawing board and increased the number of farms and high tech positions available. This helped me balance the budget worksheet, with the help of neighborly water deals. Great work today. - Dan

This is the first capture of my North Carolina region currently running on my Mac Mini. I sculpted the area myself. Although it does not match the real terrain or cities, I love the name and area I live in so I decided to pay homage. Enjoy Dan

Really I mean every SimCity lol. I began playing SimCity on Playstation 1 SimCity 2000 back in 2000-2001 lol. So I've been a fan since. I even went back and re-bought the disc version of the game and play it periodically lol (good times lol).
