  2. HK Wu Wei Group

bix is back.... i was wondering where the team has gone.
  3. Villages

ruralism is the trend in the community nowadays. many years ago i experimented with running 2 small towns on 1 big tile. it looked nice, but one thing i always had problems with was traffic. as for the big picture, most world cities that exist today were not created or designed as big cities, they were small towns. Even with colonialism throughout the world, all the cities created by european colonisation were not built/designed to be big cities by their creators... they just ended up that way over time. im glad more people are starting to develop smaller towns/villages surrounding a big city on a region. in all my travels around the world i have yet to see a city that is extremely high density, then has pure wilderness literally across the road from it.
  4. New World Trade Center

thanks for all of your work over the years nycc06, it's sad to know that this is your last... another one of the greats retires.
  5. HERE ON THE STEX so, the feedback has been good so far. thank you all. i have a lot to do still, and im reaching out the community for input. you can see where im going with it, so anyone that joins up know the direction version 1 is going. 3 next main projects and problems: 1. cleaning up the 'slides' (display screen) 2. changing default font colour, and the space behind it 3. new buttons

hell yeah, i'd throw a $1000 donation to such an idea to come true.
  9. SimCity 5 - Five Must Have Features

you could get down to the nitty-gritty of what you want in a game, but for it to be a decent follow up, it needs some big things: - it has to be an improvement on SC4. period - it has to allow the community to be as creative as this one is now - a more global focus, less US centric - depth over flashy graphics im sure IF they are considering a sequel, EA will be scouring the communities for ideas. and another thing: - they should get some of the best community contributors into developing it. by the fans, for the fans.
  10. The J-spec 2011 GUI thread

correct and correct. last night i have discovered which one does what in the tile... now i know which one does what, im gonna try something new which should look good. you know your way around graphic art?
  11. The J-spec 2011 GUI thread

    square buttons anyone??????? (experiment)
  12. The J-spec 2011 GUI thread

well you can make the buttons any way you want. you can change the shape, the colours.. anything. what you have to do is be very carefull about the spacing between them, and the button menu stems have to be modified to match. i want to make them square.. that's my aim
  13. Sim City 5 Rumors!

we as a community could and should once and for all focus on getting EA to listen, or once and for all stop talking about it. you would be amazed how much noise we could make, and how much influence we could have but we have to do it properly. i for one would love a new SC game, but it has to be done right. i actually think we will get a new one eventually... but we must unite and make some noise to the creators if we want it to be how we want it.
  14. The Great Civ 5 Discussion

i like CIV5 from what i have played of it. im not a fan of the the whole steam requirement though. maybe i would enjoy Civ5 an awful lot more if i could play it on my laptop for more than 10minutes (and my laptop is very, very new and powerful)................

  22. Julia Gillard now Prime Minister of Australia.

the polls suggest otherwise.... most say they wont vote for labour according to ninemsn poll. (as of 9.42am friday) Q: would you vote for Julia Gillard at the next election? yes: 76,361 no: 155,126
  23. Julia Gillard now Prime Minister of Australia.

meg, it's a harmless term in our culture... relax. it's sad that the voters didnt make the decision. a midnight assassination from within dealt the blow. sadly, it might save Labour's butt in the election. if they want to use K.rudd to best effects make him china's ambassador. as for the Liberal's, well they have to entirely redesign their campaign now. who would i vote for.... who knows.
  24. Julia Gillard now Prime Minister of Australia.
