Sweet night lighting! That's probably one of the best darknight shots I've ever seen, especially with the cruise ships all lit up in the harbor. I like the effort you put into the skyscrapers fitting so well together on their lots and with their lights blended together as they are. Nice work! -
Same here. I get them on 50.1.0 too. I've also set them to shut off as Cori said earlier but they seem to come back. Like they don't like being turned off. I think it's after I clear my browser cache that it resets and they come back on again.

Yes, I was thinking the same thing. To tell the truth; I didn't even think about it until after they were up and then I noticed them. I see the link for the pause screen (thank you very much!) but how do you disable the UDI icons? Is it a keyboard shortcut? I'd love to have them gone from the game anyway because they're always in the way.

Difficulty Connecting Rail to Transit-Enabled Port

I really struggled with the CDK ports and piers myself for a while until I watched a tutorial on how to level the shorelines. That helped a lot but, to be honest, the thing that has worked best for me with them is these levelers; I also found that it helped a lot to go into water pollution mode and level the sides of the drop off underwater so they're almost flat walls and then level the ground above with the levelers. You need to level back a good 7 or 8 tiles if you're using rail too, I've found. I haven't had a single problem once I finally got the groove and I can plop them sweetly almost every time now, even with the rail. Those, along with what @rsc204 said should serve you well. I use a lot of PEGs CDK stuff and it's mostly just getting the hang of it. Once you do it's smooth sailing! The levelers work great for other stuff too. Very handy little plop lots. -
My wife used to belong to the U.S. Airways Club when she traveled constantly for work all over North America and Europe and she swore by them. Snacks, open bar with soft drinks and beer, wine, some liquors, big screen tv, wi-fi, good cell reception, even showers at some airports. Also, staff in each lounge to expedite boarding and baggage without the hassle of waiting at a counter. Oh, and big comfy furniture! Personally, I've only used them twice but they were well worth it, especially after a long flight. I'd pay $50 for it if I were flying overseas and have a long layover, definitely. Have you ever been to Alaska or a Northwestern Canadian province?

I have thought about this many times in my life and here's what I think; Nature is, in itself, the phenomena of the physical world, according to Merriam Webster. This is in regard to animals, plants, weather, stars, planets, etc. These things make up the "force" of Nature, by definition. All things in balance with and because of each other. But, nature is also the inherent state of something as it truly is or as it's truly meant to be. i.e. "nature of the beast". Those are, irrefutably, what nature is but, only we, as individual free-thinkers, can really decide on why - according to our own beliefs. Who or what decides on what is "truly meant to be"? Is nature a force of the Universe at large or the construct of a far advanced sentient race or deity? Only you can really decide what gives Nature it's . . . uh, nature! Do you feel that indigo was robbed by being eliminated from the spectral color wheel or do you think it simply looks like deep blue and doesn't deserve to be there anyway?

I'm a little sad here. I haven't been a member here long enough to see this entire cj develop and I wish I had but, I have thoroughly enjoyed every bit of it that I've seen and heard. Amazing work and very inspirational too! Thank you for sharing all this hard work and for the glimpse into such a wonderfully diverse culture as well. Also, thank you for sharing the info on the music I had asked about. I will be looking for more of it! Hope to see you around again and good fortune with whatever paths you travel!

North Bay WIP. Newly established Ranger Station along the North Ridge Highway in summertime And again mid-autumn. The University area and suburbs of North Bay along the Rushing River. To the north of the river is the high wealth district of Levi. North Bay is eagerly anticipating a lot of new commercial construction in the Daiker Flats district starting in the early springtime with the groundbreaking of a brand new Target Superstore and accompanying strip malls which are expected to bring many new retailers and hundreds of new jobs in response to overwhelming public demand. Several local groups are starting petitions to stop the destruction of the trees near the river which have been in place for centuries, no doubt. A compromise is in the works as we speak and the mayor, a native resident born and raised in North Bay, has openly expressed his concern in the matter, vowing to oversee the project himself and taking a personal interest in making sure that everyone involved wins.

I've always had Primordial Dream enabled and I don't recall it ever being disabled, truth be told. I probably just turned them all on at some point. I like it. Not frightening or oppressive as much as powerful and creative. Serious. God-like. I agree with what @matias93 said. I think that's a very good reference. Terrain feels like life being breathed into the new creation. Both tracks remind me of Vivaldi's "Four Seasons" composition with a hint of Peter Gabriel or older Toto. Probably the "World" style midi percussion. The majority of the soundtrack is brilliant, really. I also have some Floyd music in my game along with side one of 2112 and some of Genesis' and King Crimson's deeper tracks. Progressive game needs progressive music! One is as timeless as the other.

What a cruel decision! I'd have to say Wish you were here. The testimonial to Syd is too great to be shoved aside. "Shine on" is also my ringtone Saltwater or freshwater fish (Aquarium fish, not for eating)

Actually, this is an all things SimCity site, 3000 included. I've seen lots of discussions pointed at the other Sim games here. And I agree, I loved the soundtrack to SC3000! They've always had really catchy and almost mesmerizing music. You might be interested in this link here -

That's crazy! Seems like the planted spears might be an effective deterrent to jumpers but, then again, it must not be that much or they would still be using them. I would think twice before hurling myself on pointed rebar! What a strange and brutal world this is! -

Yeesh! I had no idea. I can't even imagine something like that being installed on American highways. People would be up in arms over the sheer implications. I've seen fencing along overpasses but no grating over the road below. Learn something new every day. -

I've often wondered if any of the original designers/programmers of SimCity are ever here. I'm sure they pop in and lurk around a bit and smile inwardly at all the great things being done with their creation some 14 years later. Wouldn't you like to see the mods that those guys have for their own games?? -
Thanks for the info. It's all very interesting and it definitely works well, as you've shown. I never stop learning and I really enjoy looking at what other people, especially experienced players, do to get the results they get. I will check the French exchange for those MMPs! I also really like those cattails by girafe. Thanks. Really looking forward to the bridges! I love bridges! Trees are good and you've got good trees - and, I know what you mean! I always feel like I need more trees too. I don't know if it's any help but @murimk has some really nice fillers for NAM curves, mostly park and plaza lots. He's also got some nice industrial curve fillers too. They overhang nicely on the smooth NAM network 90 and 45 degree curves. You've probably seen them but here's the link if you want to take a look. Maybe they can fill in a curve or two?? Thanks again for sharing! I'm looking forward to seeing more develop in Wilhelmshaven West.
