  1. WCIF "KEEP CLEAR"

That looks SO awesome! You're right, the EU one makes it work better. For the US one I'd keep the top and bottom yellow lines, and (maybe?) remove the centre lines. I'll look over the tutorial, though you've been so obliging, and you already have a lot of awesome things on the STEX so I might not need anything else ... (famous last words). Let me know if/when you upload these
  2. The only thing I can think of that may have been giving it problems, then, is that I had previously destroyed the city with God mode. Perhaps the game still remembered details from before the apocalypse. I'm not too worried about danger from modding I've modded a few of the games I play. If I don't find what I'm looking for I'll often make it myself, and look carefully at the work others have done if I'm stuck. I'll give it another go in a completely new region, with a completely fresh lot made myself instead of editing the ones I downloaded. Thanks again for all the help!
  3. So do you mean all civic lots with sliders? Not just the ones I am editing? That could likely be the trouble. I made certain there were no lots in the region of the type I was editing, but not others. It got so bad I had to redo my entire plugins folder (Hovering over the broken lot in the menu froze the whole game, and many wouldn't show up correctly). Some rural downloads I was using messed it up really badly (and my edits of them). I do indeed keep backups (and now have a mess-free backup of my plugins, too).
  4. WCIF "KEEP CLEAR"

Hehe just like the first one. But really, one spelled properly and even though I have LHD I still chose the standard NAM in yellow because it seemed easier to coordinate with other mods, so in yellow. So you would use them as overlay on a TE tile of road/street/avenue, in the same way that you add detail to lots in the LE? What kind of files are the image files for those, and how do you extract the textures and add them so LE will use them? I will most definitely check out those crossings! Some crossing pieces came as cosmetic lots with HHs parking lots, but TE ones would be much better.
  5. WCIF "KEEP CLEAR"

I'm looking for a transit enabled cosmetic road piece that says "KEEP CLEAR" for placing in front of police, fire and emergency/hospitals. A LHD version is preferable. If anyone knows of such a mod, or is able to make a NAM-compatible piece, it would be greatly appreciated.
  6. Complete Rural Set

Not all of the lots work. I love the concept though.
  7. Australian Speed Limit Signs RHS

These are great! Did you intend for them to be so far from the road? I would have thought they would be better the other way around, as Australia is LHD. A matching set for the RHS of the road would be good - often they are placed on both sides of the road. I tried to edit this to my personal preference, but it crashes the lot editor
  8. MGB - No Grass NAM (NGN)

You've done a great job! How do I get them to work? I haven't been able to get any no grass mods to work yet. Are there any special steps? I renamed the folder in the installation to give it an extra 'z' becaues it didn't install after the z___nam folder. I had a 'white sidewalk' mod, but removed that, too. Still, I have grass next to my sidewalks Good idea using the mutliple channels btw. Having retextured some stuff for Sims 3, I expected that was how it was done.
  9. Changing Monthly Costs What properties would I change to edit the monthly cost for a school? Is only the "Budget Item: Cost?" I'd like to lower both the monthly cost and the bus coverage, but I keep ending up with a very large cost, or no cost no matter how much I move the slider, or it won't show up in the game. I used the calculator to convert those values for just that one property, and it won't show up in game.
  10. Thank you for the offer. I had a look at the tutorial and the beginner guide. I used the building tweaker, and so far it seems to be working well now. I may find some other things I'd like to tweak now, though I think most things I have downloaded had specifications meeting my exact needs.
  11. Edit custom lot Can you use the lot editor to change some details on a custom lot from the STEX? (without uploading it of course, since the original belongs to someone else). I downloaded several McDonalds lots, and the only one that comes close to working well using the space I would like, generates way too much garbage, even for Maccas. It filled up 8 squares of landfill in one year, and that's while using a mod that improves the decomposition of garbage. Long story short, I would like to open that file up and change that to something that fits better with the gameplay. I've never used the lot editor, but if this is possible will embark on downloading and reading up on tutorials. Thanks.
  12. New Mcdonalds 2 lots

They look great, but the ploppable one has no description or jobs, and the growable one won't grow. I'm a little disappointed in what could have been a perfect building.
  13. McDonalds v1

Nicely designed but generates too much garbage, even for Maccas.
  14. "Broken" overpass

Thank you for the link, that looks very useful! (anything that enhances the very basic UI is going to help). I did however discover that it was my roundabout on the other side. It occurred to me when I recalled watching two cars just go round and round the roundabout in an amusing fashion. I've never really used one-way streets until I saw the other day how to use them to make roundabouts, so I forgot to consider which direction they were going! I had been following a tutorial on making a realistic city, and then some tutorials on overpasses, but they all were based on an outdated version of RHW so I had a lot of trouble finding the right pieces (first time with NAM and RHW).
  15. "Broken" overpass

I have built a diamond overpass for my city, but it seems to be broken. Residents cannot get from one side of the highway to the other, so I am getting a lot of no job zots. The highway is 2 tiles wide of RHW-6S, mostly flat, running N-S, then curving NE. The overpass is perpendicular to the HWY and consists of: --road-- --R2-- --R2 ramp B1 dual (to HWY)-- R2-- 15m Viaduct Road Start/End Piece-- --Road over RHW-6S-- --Road over RHW-6S (180 degrees to previous piece)-- and then the same in reverse to get to the other side. What do I need to change to make it work? I made sure that all the yellow lines matched up on the overpass. Everything looks good, but just isn't working. EDIT: Nevermind, I found the problem.
