Homeless Sims - What to do?
jcavigliano replied to fhreire's topic in SimCity (2013) Technical Help Q&A
Bulldoze the entire city but leave some roads to allow them to go to the freeway if they get stuck - then start over -
Your lighting is at minimum and shadows are at low. Try changing these incrementally and see what changes you get. If you can max them out, try that and see the difference, if it doesnt run too slow.

Hello, thanks for the fantastic mod! Is there a way to re-arrange the order that the streets are currently in? I an interested in having the original order of the roads in the base game and have all of the extra roads afterwards. I dont use these additional roads as often so I wouldnt want to click the right arrow just to get to the high density streets if my screen is too small. Thanks!!

You have too many jobs and not enough workers. Either increase density of residential to get more people or destroy commercial and/or industrial to decrease the amount of jobs available. Also, you can limit the density of commercial and/or industrial by not upgrading roads or dezone commercial/industrial when it reaches the desired density and it will not increase density even if you upgrade the roads. If you have three commercial buildings near residential, try knocking 2 of them down and dezoning commercial and replace that section with residential. That will decrease jobs and increase workers. You really dont need as much commercial/industrial as you might think.

Datamap for Control Net as well as street densities possible?
jcavigliano replied to jcavigliano's topic in SimCity (2013) Modding - Open Discussion
I guess what I was looking for would require someone to write new code that could create these new features since they are not in the game currently or are not easy to export like the expenses map to another location. What code is this game written in, I wonder. Im curious if it is even possible to add new code to the game to create new features.- 2 Replies

Datamap for Control Net as well as street densities possible?
jcavigliano posted a topic in SimCity (2013) Modding - Open Discussion
Does anyone know how to make a controlnet data map that shows which buildings are using controlnet, represented as bar graphs similar to all the other data maps (Similar to the data expenses map MOD)? Also, is it possible to make some kind of datamap that shows the various stages of road densities so it is easy to see and upgrade whichever roads need upgrading? It would probably not work best as a bar graph like most of the data maps but for example, have all low road densities show up as colored while the rest of the map is white (similar to going into edit mode for individual modalities). Once upgraded, they can turn white to indicate they are no longer in the low density street map. There could be low, medium and high density view options to select each density view.- 2 Replies
