What version of Sim City 4 do you have installed? Most downloads require Sim City 4 + Rush Hour or Sim City 4 Deluxe to work or the building will appear as a brown box.

CraigKingOfIreland: I'm not sure whether the NAM is available anywhere else but if the Modds section isn't working for you and you have Norton Internet Security or ZoneAlarm switched on, try turning it off while you are downloading Modds. The modds section wouldn't work for me but when I turned Norton off, it started to work.

xaos: If you have Norton Internet Security or ZoneAlarm switched on, try turning them off while you are downloading the Modds. I had this problem and when I turned Norton off, the Modds section worked. Hope this helps.

Welcome to Simtropolis! Most downloads from Simtropolis require Sim City 4 + Rush Hour or Sim City 4 Deluxe to work. If you don't have one of these, most buildings will appear as a brown box. If you do have Rush Hour or Deluxe, then you might need things called "dependencies" to make the download work. A lot of files come with a "ReadMe" in which there should be a list of the dependencies required. The list could also be in the Description of the download. If you download these dependencies, the file should then work.

Maxime dit Gilles 5: Place those files in the Program Files/Maxis/Sim City 4/Plugins folder and they should take effect in your game. -
