First National Tower Omaha Description: http://omahawiki.org/First_National_Bank_Tower http://www.kiewit.com/projects/buildings/the-tower-at-first-national-center.aspx http://www.leoadaly.com/projects.aspx?wpage=featured&seq=003-00997-MK1 Why this would be beneficial for the game or community: For those looking for a unique, but yet simplistic building. Building has granite siding with glass windows. The top lights up similar to that of the EMPIRE STATE BUILDING. A down to earth modern day tower for the game shall it be made. Chicago Spire Description: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chicago_Spire http://www.chicagoarchitecture.info/ShowBuilding/357.php Why this would be beneficial for the game or community: This will be a supertall building (standing at 2000 ft!) The buildings unique shape and twist make it a standout. It will be the tallest building in the WESTERN hemisphere when complete. This would be a beautiful centerpiece of a downtown inside SIMCITY4 game

The method of city building I use to widen my roads are the one way roads - you have 2 lanes per one way road. In order for me to make more lanes, I drag another one way next to it. HOW DO I CONNECT THEM? by dragging streets across them. You can have an 8 lane avenue (which I normally do) - or possibly a 6 lane or more one way road - all with the connection using streets to cross them. My widest avenue I'll use is 6 lanes in each direction - only problem is that electricity does not flow all the way across so you need a power source to cross it (wires) or connections at end of road.

thats a bummer since i spent 2.5 hours just to get that RHW 10 to work right - and no one used it! - immediately replaced it with the ground highway and it became the busiest road.... sad
-
question - is there work being done on a highway system that has 5 or more lanes in each direction? just curious b/c the RHW does not work that well and really like what the NAM has come up with.... the new partial Y interchange with the widening of the freeway there - that looks cool.

i actually tried playing around with the RHW - and for some reason the connection to the next city didn't work - well it appeared that it was connected on both sides - or maybe it was the whole lanes altogether - i tried the 10 lane to give more traffic access to the next city - and well - wasted a few hours of my time trying b/c i ended up demolishing it all and building the ground highway - with my own one ways to be used for my own customer interchanges..... which seems to take up way less space too - i just found it frustrating all the work i put into getting the RHW to work for me - only to it not working right.... i realize lots of work went into making it - just it's really finicky and hard to use- 3,919 Replies

REQUEST: can you guys make a 10 lane bridge? or perhaps a one way bridge with five lanes to accomodate the 10 lanes RHW?- 3,919 Replies

no offense - i have simcity 4 and rush hour....and simcity 3000....and socieities...i'm not paying 40 dollars to receive an expansion pack 2 just one of those games just to get the frickn' expansion pack! - what losers..... i hope this plan backfires and it doesn't sell at all!
-
um - where is this expansion pack at for sale? what's the release date?
-
the past few releases haven't improved the freeway infrastructure of the game..... i'm curious.... when will we see more..... FREEWAY options..particularly the ones i've been seeing....... with a frewway merging into another one - or splitting etc.... i would like to see a 3way freeway interchange as well.....which i've mentioned i believe...3-4 years ago..... oh well - if i knew how to model this - i have the programs..... i would do so.....and figure out what spaces needed.....styles...etc...to get it right texture wise...i would do it! - but i also would need help making it actually function...
-
freeways.....and more freeway options than ever before...... with not only 3 lanes on each side - but 3 lane options...and 6 lane options..... would seem more realistic to me! so far though - they look great..... and they just posted a video of them testing out roads...and mentioned it may be their first attempt at a highway!!!!
-
well i hope this is the real simcity 5 they are mentioning...b/c that was rediculous what we got..... and as far as i'm concerned...if tilted mill is on the project - they better have learned from the mistakes of socieities and make something that works on most computers that meet or even succeed the requirements.....or they better get someone else do the job..... perhaps maxis again?
