Real Highway (RHW) - Development and Support
simzebu replied to qurlix's topic in NAM & Transit Networks
It's included in the NAM. Go to Modds and Downloads, and download the latest NAM. When the installer asks, make sure to select the ANT plugin box. Speaking of the latest NAM, when are we going to see the fully compatible RHW? It's been three months, could we at least get the basics back? Sorry if I sound pushy, I just hate not being able to use it without losing all the new NAM features.- 3,919 Replies

I usually put it down the middle of a separated avenue, as in oneway-GLR-oneway, or use it to bridge Big Dig lines. In my most recent city, both.

So if you don't like it, don't use it, and quit whining.

I actually looked into this before building my last airport. I looked into two airports: SAN (San Diego, CA) and ALB (Albany, NY). SAN has one runway, about equal to 4.5 tiles wide if I remember correctly. ALB has two runways, about 2 or 2.5 tiles across. Both are international airports. SAN probably takes more traffic and larger traffic. Neither can handle the 747 due to lack of runway length, but the point is, both widths are seen and realistic, at least in the States. But for a larger airport you'd probably want the 5-tile.

The last report on the one today was that the Tractor Trailer driver had to be extracted from the cab and taken to the hospital with serious injuries. the SUV driver and Passenger escaped unharmed. actually, they walked away from the accident.quote> Freakin' lucky SUV people! I'd have thought they'd have been crushed, but they got VERY lucky! Hope the tractor trailer guy is okay...

How can I build long curves for rails with the nam?
simzebu replied to Death Reaper's topic in SC4 Showcase
I think it's under the rail puzzle pieces button, then hit tab until you get it. -

You are right in saying that they did nothing wrong. However, I think that they should have thought about the consequences of their actions. If you look Middle-Eastern, it'd probably be a good idea not to curse the US on a plane. It sucks, but that's the way it is. That's just my opinion. I just re-read the story. I'd be suspicious of anyone who asked for a seatbelt extender who didn't look like they needed it, and even more so if they didn't use it. That is suspicious behavior, no matter who does it. ...they sat separately in seats scattered through the cabin.quote>That is the most retarded reason yet. Seats can be scattered for about thirty million innocent reasons.

Yup. That's it. All they do is give you some increased desirability and cemetery rewards, both of which can be replaced using downloads from the STEX. I generally ignore the House of Worship. Am I God?quote> Perhaps. [ramble warning] It seems that through to God Mode you are God, but in the Mayor mode you are Mayor. Although, you could be one of a polytheistic set of gods, and be the God of the Earth. MySim mode also seems to give the player some God-like options over the sims. Being able to change a sim's car, job, and home seems Godish to me. Anyway, that's my long answer to your question.

I'm hoping, though not at all expecting, that IV will be a sort of 'State of Liberty', and that it will include versions of other New York cities, such as Buffalo (Perhaps call it 'bison' or some such thing'), Syracuse, Saratoga (Actually pretty likely, considering the last game's introduction of gambling, a city with a race track would just seem proper. Though they'd probably go with Atlantic City because it's closer to NYC), and especially Albany, my home town. [ramble warning] I know they could have fun with the Egg. The Pepsi, now Times Union, arena would probably be renamed the Sprunk, Liberty Tree, or Times Useless arena. The roads and highways are much messier than you could imagine, so it wouldn't be hard to come up with some fun city layouts. Plus, the game's classic 'broken bridge' limit could be done as a reference to current events, considering Albany's problem with keeping roads and highways in one place... Anyway, it was an effective trailer. Before I saw it, I planned not to buy it because I don't have a compatible system or even an HDTV, and it just wasn't worth however many hundreds of dollars. I'm now reconsidering.

Your subways probably don't go to and from the right places. How about some maps of your city and subway system>

Real Highway (RHW) - Development and Support
simzebu replied to qurlix's topic in NAM & Transit Networks
I think what wonderboy145 is talking about is kind of what the Maxis streets did as they turned into roads. And I do think he's right. It usually doesn't go from asphalt to concrete without any crossover. Though I'm not sure about concrete to asphalt.- 3,919 Replies
